Kareni
From the home page of the Yahoo group homeschool2college: "The SAT code for all homeschoolers is 970000, even though it will appear as New York. The ACT code is 969-999. For the PLAN (pre-ACT), the code is 979-999. The PSAT code varies by state." coopers5
Those are the codes I have, as well; although this time when we registered my daughter for the Mar. 1 SAT she just took, it appeared as "Home school Clearing House" on the registration, too. Why do they do that? But then the ticket that we printed out just says "schooled at home." I think on the website for reg. it appeared as NY, too, like Karen noted. HTH. Pam "SFSOM" in TN
Those are the codes I have, as well; although this time when we registered my daughter for the Mar. 1 SAT she just took, it appeared as "Home school Clearing House" on the registration, too. Why do they do that? I'll take a guess about the Home school Clearing House bit. I'll bet there are four boxes to put in the name of the school, one part at a time. So Thomas Jefferson High School would be entered in those boxes. They needed to make a category of "Homeschool Clearinghouse" as a cache category for all the home schoolers taking the test, so someone broke that up into four parts for entry. :)
