Sharon in SC
Mercy, between worrying about how old no bangs make me look and now this, I'm feeling rather OLD today! ;-P Dh, who turned 50 in March, just received an invitation to purchase an AARP card in the mail today. Is it worth it?

Is it worth it? Did your husband enjoy that AARP "moment" as much as I did? :glare:  Bill (who never felt older than when he opened *that* envelope :tongue_smilie:)
Jean in Newcastle
We've used ours to get an AARP discount on our vacation (lodging). If you have a AAA membership - the discount was actually the same. We're hoping to remember that we have it so that we can use more of the discounts. I haven't looked at it closely enough to see if it really worth it monetarily, but we decided to go ahead with it for now.
LizzyBee
My dh and one of my sisters refuse to join for political reasons. If you have strong political opinions, you might want to look at the types of things AARP lobbies for before making a decision.
Sharon in SC
Did your husband enjoy that AARP "moment" as much as I did? :glare:  Bill (who never felt older than when he opened *that* envelope :tongue_smilie:) Funny you ask - I realized it had come in the mail when he plopped it on my desk and announced, "Well, I've arrived." Thankfully, he had a smile on his face. This is the same man who didn't open is 30th BD presents for a week 'cause he was so depressed. :tongue_smilie:
