BMW
I am wondering what to do when you want to open a page from an email or web site that is in other word formats. In many emails, if I have an attachment, I can save it, then open it. But, I am not always given this option and I was just enjoying a website with printable forms, but they are in the word format that wont open for me... Any simple steps or advice? Tap
I am wondering what to do when you want to open a page from an email or web site that is in other word formats. Any simple steps or advice? if you don't want to install Open Office try this: If you look at a document, can you see the file type like .doc, .dac, .pdf etc? If you can go to the directions after where I say you my need to restart your computer if you cant then: Start Control Panel Appearence and Personalization Folder options/Show Hidden Files and Folders View tab Make sure they box is UNchecked that says "Hide extentions for known file types" Apply This should make it possible to see the file extentions. Restart may be required. Open the document you have saved and rename the document with a .doc ending. (or other known file type) Try to open it now. This may or may not work but is a quick thing to try if you don't want to download a new program.
