StaceyinLA
A family in our group lost their 2 year-old today. She has been in the PICU since last Thursday after they found her in the bottom of their pool. At 11:11 this morning, they saw a peace come over her. Shortly after, she was declared brain dead. They are planning to donate organs, so at least some other young lives will be saved and this tiny child will live on in spirit, but it means she will have to be on the ventilator for 24 more hours, so it will certainly prolong the grief. Please pray for this family (the McAlisters). I cannot begin to fathom the agony they are experiencing at this time.

SherryTX
I am so sorry for your friend and her family! What a tragedy! I don't imagine one ever gets over losing a child 100%; however, I do hope the fact that they can help save another child's (or possibly several children's) life by their decision to donate organs can give them some comfort. That is truly a generous thing they are doing. My heart goes out to them.
