One sentence reads "Well, " said Uncle Andrew with a chuckle, "it depends what you call wrong. How do my dc show the special emphasis on the italicized word? Yeah, I know, my eighth grade English teacher would be disappointed with me. Ellie Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 When you are writing by hand, or using a typewriter (as opposed to a computer word processing program), you underline it.
