fenni
Are there any additional books or supplies you liked having on hand for ECC? I'm getting an order ready for Rainbow Resource. I do not have my ECC teacher's manual, yet, so it would be great to know about anything you found helpful or that is listed as required or optional in the TM. Thanks! Free Indeed
The only book I used consistently over the weeks and would highly recommend would be Missionary Stories with the Millers. My children LOVED this book and it is still one they pull out to read.
Nakia
We like having Children Just Like Me. It has so many really nice pictures and a lot of information about children and growing up in different countries. ISBN 0789402017 Our favorite MFW ECC extra, by far, were the Planet Earth DVDs. You can purchase them from Amazon for about $35, and they are fabulous!! You match the episode up to the science topic you are studying, and it is a nice way to finish out the study. HTH!! Kisa in CA
Another vote for Children Just Like Me. It is easy to schedule and was my kids favorite.
Donna A.
We're doing ECC next year and I'm awaiting delivery of my manual at the end of the month, but one "extra" I have waiting on my shelf is this set of missionary adventure stories that look like they'd be a great go-along to ECC: http://www.graceandtruthbooks.com/listdetails.asp?ID=1419
Donna A.
Oh, and not knowing the ages of your kids, but for yourself if not for them, I would also recommend Gracia Burnham's biography of her and Martin's story in the Philippines a few years ago: In the Presence of My Enemies. http://www.amazon.com/Presence-My-Enemies-Gracia-Burnham/dp/0842381384
fenni
My children will be 8, 6, 4, 2 and 0 when we begin ECC. It is really only for the 8 yo but I'm sure the others will listen in. Thank you for the recommendations!!
