Quiver0f10
I have some couscous, but no directions on how to cook it. HELP lol.
chiguirre
Just add 1.25 cups boiling water to 1 cup of couscous and let it sit a few minutes. You can add a bit of salt or butter to taste.
OnTheBrink
You can also add some garlic and parmesean cheese.

Mrs Mungo
I prefer mine cooked in salted water. After it's cooked I make it like tabbouleh. YUM.
mcconnellboys
Yes, I agree! Flavored broths really ramp up the taste! Regena
Whisperlily
Wow, you all like your couscous plain! We cook ours in chicken broth and add olive oil, fresh basil, chopped garlic, salt and pepper. (If I'm in a pinch I use dried basil and garlic powder.) Sometimes I add half a can of drained, diced tomatoes if I'm in the mood. :) Boil the mixture, add couscous and cook for just a minute or two... then fluff with a fork. :)
Quiver0f10
Oh, chicken or veggie broth would be wonderful! I am going to try that next time. Thanks for the tips everyone!
chiguirre
We don't actually eat plain couscous, but I use it as a bed for a chicken stew or lentils, so I prefer that it not be flavored.
