momofkhm
The Hurricanes won last night! (Let's go "Canes!) I was looking at the schedule of the next round of games. There is a game on Thursday night at 7:30, the same time the keynote session at the NCHE conference is set to start. Equipped to Love: Building a Legacy of God's Love--- by Norm Wakefield Everyone knows they ought to love others, but not everyone knows how. The greatest hindrance to building a legacy of God's love is the spirit of idolatry. Idolatry is the world's counterfeit to God's kind of love. In this message, Norm gives practical insight into one of the most challenging goals of families -- loving relationships. Marriages and parent/child relationships may be healed and strengthened as a result of these truths. I'm not a die-hard hockey fan but I wonder how full the hall will be for the talk? I wonder if it will make a difference to the talks ending at 7.
Chelle in MO
Hey, Cheryl~ I just found this post when searching for Norm Wakefield info. So, did you go to the keynote address? How did the Hurricanes do? I'd be interested to hear how you liked Norm Wakefield if you have a minute. He's speaking at the CHEF conference here in St. Charles next month, and I don't know anything about him. The schedule lists some interesting topics that he's speaking on. Thanks, Chelle

Thanks, Chelle I'm actually guilty of not going to any of his talks! :blushing: For the keynote address, I took the time to shop the book fair while "no one else" was there. DH did go to his talk on "The calling out of our Sons" or something like that. He said it was good and he learned something but didn't elaborate. But that's dh. I think I bought tapes to one or more of his talks, but haven't had time to listen to them yet. oh and I heard that the Hurricanes lost. If they don't win tonight, they are finished for the season. And the experts don't think they can beat the Penguins.
Chelle in MO
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I would definitely rather shop "alone" than hear a keynote, too! I get claustrophobic in the vendor halls sometimes! Chelle
