Transcript help needed for math course - Mathematics a Human Endeavor

I will be using Jacobs - A Human Endeavor for my 12th grade daughter next year. She has taken Algebra 1 & 2 and Geometry and needs one more math but does not want Pre Calc or anything more advanced.

 

I need suggestions on what to call this course for her transcript. Advanced Math is out (because it is not advanced) and so is the actual book name.

 

The name needs to mostly look good on her transcript without making her look math smart (which she is not).

...to use this book, but never been able to fit it in. From all I remember about it, I wonder if you could call it something like "Introduction to Applied Mathematics." I know the book focuses on real applications of mathematics, so this was the first thought that came to mind.

My 2nd ds used this in 9th grade; he finished the whole book. I called the course "Applications of Mathematics" and gave him a full credit.

 

He's a freshman at a SUNY agriculture school, in a two-year program.

Are you sure you want to do this book? It's rather below the level of someone who has passed algebra 2, and can even be taken before algebra 1 if the student has a strong pre-algebra background. Giving the course a fancier title won't change that.

 

If a college wants one math after algebra 2, I would assume that means advancing in math skills past algebra 2, rather than just putting in some hours with a math book after algebra 2.
