Tanya in KS
I was diagnosed with "silent" gall stones this morning after a sonogram. SOOO because I HATE all medical procedures and absolutely FREAK OUT:eek: about them. I am seeing those who have gone before me. Thanks in advance
Tree House Academy
What treatment are they recommending? I thought that with silent stones, none was really warranted. Will everyone with silent gallstones eventually have a gallbladder attack? No, the risk of silent gallstones causing a gallbladder attack is about 1% per year. In other words if 100 persons had silent gallstones, only ten would have a gallbladder attack after 10 years, and 90 would still have no symptoms. Vicki
I was told I had silent gallstones in 1991 during an ultrasound of my dd. I have never had any problems or taken anything for them. God bless, Vicki
Quiver0f10
When I was battling stones Iwas told that the majority of the peopel who have stones don't even know it. They are usually discovered during an exam for something else. If the stones don't bother you, I'd leave them be. Chances are they might never cause you trouble. Jumping In Puddles
I have them and was told to do anything unless I get a gall attack.
Starr
Mine must have been silent for years before I had any trouble. Eat a low fat diet and you might not have to deal with them.
