msjones
I see and like the narration and dictation in WWE. I just looked at the Peace Hill Press site and viewed the samples. My question: How much actual writing do students do in Levels 1 & 2? By actual writing I mean essays, reports, letters -- that sort of assignment. Is that sort of writing included, or is the idea that that type of student-produced writing comes later?
momtolgd
WWE 1 and 2 does not include any of those kinds of writing. They focus on copywork, narration, and dictatation. :001_smile:
momee
Having btdt with older kids, it's not a bad thing to not do at this stage and concentrate on what the wise one, SWB, recommends. I'm finally learning this lesson with my third child. It seems they would be missing out, in reality they're getting a firm foundation. Just my unasked for .02 cents :)
Samiam
Those are the things that WWE does NOT do...kind of the point of WWE....it does not focus on original compositions, at least in lower levels. There is a whole theory behind the reasoning, explained in WTM.

msjones
Thanks, everyone. I know that SWB finds early composition-writing to be 'putting the cart before the horse' as per the classical approach. I just wanted to be certain of what I would be paying for if I purchased WWE.
