Have a young adult friend doing a self-study abroad. Rick Steves website is my go-to for travel tips. Is there something like this aimed at young adults and their more thrifty/adventuresome bents?
My daughter's purse was stolen while in New Zealand in Study Abroad. Her passport wasn't in it but her wallet, phone and epipens were. I told her to go to a clinic and get the epipens, and asthma inhaler. She is going to be getting a phone through her student insurance. But I don't know how to get money to her faster. She had a little in the bank and was mostly using a credit card she shared with us. We stopped the card and it will probably be Monday before we receive a replacement here and then I have to mail it express mail to NZ which still probably means she doesn't get it until next Friday. She doesn't have meals at her school so she will need money for food and maybe the epipens and inhaler. I really need to get her at least 100 dollars to her fast but a bank transfer takes 10 days. Is there a faster way to get money overseas?
