  1. I recently saw some post looking for and about some planners. So here are two nice ones I bought priced under $10. Hope it is something you are looking for in planner :001_smile:. Middle School/ High School http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HZLDDII/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Elementary School http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HZN3E0S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. Just started playing with One Note after reading the planning thread and so far, so good. A couple questions though. I really like that I can import excel and word files. Where is the best place to edit them from? If I go to the original, will it automatically update in ON? I noticed when I updated from the "edit" tab on the file in ON, it gave me a new file to work from. I'm not sure if it was a computer issue or not, but the files didn't seem to be connected. I'm really hoping if I can edit one, the other will update. I remember using it before, it was very easy to clip from websites. That doesn't seem to be the case now that Windows 8 has web access on another page. Is there a way to get around this? Any other cool OneNote tricks and tips to know?
  3. If you have considered both, can you please tell me which one you decided to use and why? I've narrowed my options down to these two as the best fit for me, but I'm torn b/t them. If I'm going to invest time learning a system I don't want to do it twice, so even though Skedtrack seems to be easier to me, if HST is going to be better in the long run, I'd rather learn it now. I cannot use HST+ b/c we are all operating from macs and I want Dc to have access to a checklist on their iPods. TIA
  4. Hello everyone. I will begin HS next year. I have 4 children (ds6, ds5, dd3, dd2). My sons are in a private school that teaches the classical approach. I want to continue that. I have been looking at choices for over a year and need a little help from y'all. Here is what I do know (I think I am sure on these.) Math: Math U See, Life of Fred, and supplement with Kumon Phonic/Spelling: All about Spelling, Dorbooks Science: AIMS at this time b/c of age of my kids, but any input is welcome here Grammar: need ideas here Art:? (would like something b/c my oldest loves art) Here is where I need help.:crying: I know I need to relax and i am sure I will once I start HS, but right now... well, you know. Okay. I like BiblioPlan and TOG. BUT TOG is overwhelming and although it looks good and I might revisit it later...I just can't take that on right now. Other mamas say to just use what you want, to break it down into smaller pieces, but I don't know how to do that. And honestly, I don't know if I want to know. LOL So BiblioPlan. I have read a lot of helpful threads here and thus led to more questions. Here they are? 1.) I see people saying they are using BiblioPlan with SOTW (is that correct... just learning what all the letters mean). What exactly are they doing with both? Is SOTW being used as a supplement to BiblioPlan? 2.) Do you like the Bible portion/lessons of BiblioPlan? 3.) What other subjects am I going to need to cover in HS ages 6, 5, 3 (not really schooling her yet...just doing a lot of play with her)? 4. What planners do you use? (hard copy or on computer) 5. I have seen HST+ on many threads. What is that? Thank you so much ladies!! I eagerly await your replies. :bigear:
  5. Am I the only dork who can't WAIT to see if I'm among The Chosen for the WPD Software beta trial? I'll admit to being confused, though. I had thought it was purely a random selection, then when I filled out the form on the beta tester site they said they wanted to choose a good sampling. Shall we start a list of people who want to be "in" on it, in case we are actually allowed to choose 4 "friends"? Pick me!!!
  6. Did I dream the following or is it real? I'm looking for a planning software that will take (for example) the Saxon 5/4 that my son is going to start and plugs in each lesson spread out over a specified time period and on only specific days so that I don't have to enter every lesson in manually. Did I dream this? If it's real which online planner do I need to check out?
  7. I was looking at the items on their pre-release sale and ran across this. We are planning to utilize ipads for the older kids, and this looks so tempting! I am now re-thinking the paper planner. There. I said it. (WPD is the only planner that I have used consistently).
  8. looking for ideas for a planner/ organizer and what all you use it for. I would prefer one for school and home but if you use two, I would also be interested in the details. Thanks!
  9. Would you please share what you use, and most importantly...WHY!!! What's your favorite thing, or what makes it unique? Thanks!
  10. Please share your favorite homeschool planner that you use and reuse yearly. Also why do you use it and love it so much. I am looking for a good planner that will help me plan, organize and set goals for my two children(4 and 11) for this new upcoming year in homeschooling. thanks:001_smile::001_smile::001_smile:
  11. I would love to see everyone's homemade blank weekly lesson plan forms. I have seached the internet for some, and just can't find anything that strikes me. So I thought it would be neat if we all shared forms we have created here. Here is one I created for pre-school/Kindergarten. It is supposed to have boxes for M-F but it didn't load that part. Michelle
  12. We have so much to study and read together/alone that I think I need a planner to record what we do daily. I just saw this planner on the homeschool buyers' co-op called The Well-Planned Day (http://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/index.php). Has anyone used this or plan to? If not, what's a good planner that is simple yet allows me to record a year's worth. We homeschool year-round (or plan to). I know some here have blogs of what they and their kids do daily, and as much as I would love to do that, I usually run out of time during the evenings to be able to successfully undertake a task like this. With a physical planner to carry around, I think I would probably jot down what we accomplish immediately (hopefully). Or maybe just use a plain notebook? Nothing fancy is required, right?
  13. Has anyone seen the corresponding student agendas? There's one for middle-school and one for high school. Any reviews on these would be greatly appreciated! For those that bought The Well Planned Day last year, do you still like it after all these months? Did it live up to the hype? I sooo wanted to buy one but already had printed off schedule sheets so I held myself back. Now I'm looking at them for next school year. So what are your likes/dislikes about it? If you bought it, will you be buying it again? Why or why not?
