  1. My husband and I want to go to the Caribbean. Probably March or beginning of April. We already have passports, as we have been to the Dominican Republic. We do NOT want to go to Mexico.

     

    Looking for:(must haves)

     

    Couples ONLY(no kids)

    All inclusive

    Plenty of white sandy beach with crystal blue water that you can actually swim in(In the DR, the bottom was full of coral and you couldn't swim)

    Romantic

    Palm trees and lots of them.

    Swimming pools

     

    Prefer:

     

    Does not have to be a 5 star resort

    Close enough to maybe leave resort and go sightseeing

    A nightclub

    Snorkeling

     

    Any suggestions?

     

     

     

  2. I really do love Zumba. I already own the T-Tapp BWO+. So thinking alternating between the two should break it up a little. I also go into youtube, and find different songs with Zumba routines, as to not get bored with the same.

     

    I really need to work on my belly. So I am really going to have to watch my intake of food. Probably going to do low carb again. Thanks ladies !!! :hurray:

  3. I have the BWO+ from T-Tapp.I did the 15 min instructional for about 4 days. OMG, it was SO boring. But is it effective? I need to lose about 20 pounds. At least. Preferably 30.

     

    But I really love Zumba. But I can only handle Zumba for about 15 minutes, and then I get way to winded. So not sure if that is even effective.

     

    I carry my weight in my belly area. Unfortunately.

     

    I have read testimonies on T-Tapp that it helps your core, and you lose inches. But what if you are not doing the exercises properly?

     

    Looking for feedback on either one, or something that you felt really worked for you.

  4. Love the name "Familyversary"!!!!!!

     

    Wow, these are a lot of great ideas!!!! Actually, they are having a get together at a family pizza place after the final adoption. So, I am thinking flowers and a card is a definite. (I will get two bouquets, one for the parents and one for the couple).

     

    I think I might want to do something personalized and give it them later.

     

    We are very close to them. My husband and I were both in the bridal party when they were married. My DH was a best man, for one friend. And I was a maid of honor for my other friend. They were married on the beach in OC, MD. Beautiful ceremony.

     

    It just boggles my mind that I have people "praying" for this little girl because she is being brought up in a gay household. WHAT??? Ok, her bio father wanted nothing to do with her. I am a Christian. But I believe in love. I don't think God would frown upon two people who love each other deeply, and love this child with all of their heart and soul.

     

    (But that is a whole other subject)

  5. My very best friends were married a few years ago. One has a biological daughter. Her wife does not have children .Tomorrow, her wife will be officially adopting her spouses biological child as her own. The daughter is 9 years old.

     

    Anyone know what the etiquette is for this? Do I get a gift? A card?

     

    I just found out yesterday that the adoption will be finalized tomorrow at the courthouse, so I didn't have time to order anything,

     

    I am very excited for the both of them, and for their daughter who has two wonderful, loving parents.

     

  6. Been on the No-S website today. Reading things that are making a little more sense to me now.

     

    I am glad for the S days though. As usually we go out to dinner, or friends houses, and there tends to be a lot of junk food. (Chips, pretzels, alcohol etc)

     

    I am dancing 3 hours straight one day a week. I think I will step up my game there.

  7. I don't eat breakfast. Never have. I drink coffee with no sugar. I have a sandwich usually for lunch with a handful of pretzels. I drink water. For dinner, I have your standard meat/veggies. I don't snack or eat sweets. I guess I have been doing No-S right along, but I certainly have not lost any weight. Maybe I need to exercise more then. I need to drop at least 20 pounds. Preferably, 30. Nothing wrong with my thyroid. I don't get it.

  8. I am a little confused about this. I understand the whole No-S concept. But, how can you lose weight if you eat a ton of food for B/L/D. What of I ate a Double Cheeseburger from McD's?(Not that I do, but wondering). And then 5 slices of pizza for dinner? Is there no portion control on this diet? Cutting out sweets(which I do not eat as it is) and snacking(which I also do not do) doesn't seem to make me lose any weight at all, apparently. It has to be about portion control, I would assume? Do we stay under 1200 calories?

  9. Well, there really isn't an alternative to Prozac. All SSRI's tend to cause weight gain for most people. Wellbutrin is the only one that usually does not, but that drug is not for me.

     

    I am really not into diet "fads"(Such as WW, Jenny Craig etc)

     

    I just want to know how to limit my portions, eat healthier, exercise and drop some pounds. I just need a guide to help me do that. I already do not consume sugar(And if I do it is very little).

     

    I used to do Zumba. But I am thinking I need a guide to other kinds of exercise like toning etc.

     

    Yea, I think running away from Beach Body Shakeology is a good idea.

  10. My 21 yo dd suffers from this. Twice she had been on antibiotics. Both her and her partner were screened for std's and both negative. Dr told her to take probiotic . Any suggestions on brands? She already does the no dyes/soap etc and no perfumed detergent or dryer sheets. She is frustrated. She went to whole foods but looking for suggestions maybe online in case it doesn't work thank you

  11. I have hip hop abs, but for some reason I cannot play them on my computer. I don't know why. And I am looking to lose weight overall, but the big issue is my belly. I really don't want to spend any money on videos. I have already changed my diet. I already do not eat sugar, but I slacked off on the carb intake. So back to low carbing.

  12. Side note from your name. Are you or have you been a serious ballet dancer? Just asking, as I used to be. I find one of the hard things for me with all the change is the control aspect and not knowing. With ballet, you know how to control every little muscle in your body, and as your body is your instrument, you know how to warm it up, and it's cycles etc.... I had to move past the annoyance that my body was doing something without my say so. That it is ok at this point in life to not be regulated and keeping to schedule. 

     

    No, far from a serious ballet dancer. I take Tap and Hip Hop, one day a week for 3 hours. I do though, have a HUGE control issue. It is part of my anxiety. I don't like not knowing what is going on, or if this is something to worry about, how long this is going to last, am I going to need surgery, and I certainly don't want this going on for the next 5 years or longer.

    I already tried Mirena IUD and the Progesterone only pill(I had severe abdominal cramping from that pill).

     

    What about Prometrium?

     

    It has only been 3 months since doing this and I don't want to jump to anything surgical at this point. Everytime I have jumped and became impatient, I have regretted it.

     

    Ablation I know stops/cuts the bleeding. But my bigger problem is cramps. I am exhausted from them. I have had them all my life, and usually only have them the first day or two of my cycle. But now, with this going on, I will have them until I stop spotting and I really start to bleed, where right now I could spot for a whole week. I am in between spotting/bleeding right now.

     

    I will try the magnesium. And look into yoga.

     

    And if I am going to do a D+C/Hyster procedure and I need to be put out(Which I am terrified of) then I might as well have him do whatever it takes to stop this for good. Unless I have hidden polyps/fibroids which if that is the case he can remove them. If nothing is found, then while I am under either blast it all out, or take it out.

     

    I do have Emerita Natural Progesterone, but I would have no idea when to even start it since my periods are not regular at all. No idea if they are coming or going anymore.

     

    And I don't eat sugar, and already eat low carb.

     

    I already take an iron pill along with a prenatal vitamin and that has kept my levels good.

  14. My husband does not want me to do anything drastic as of this point. I have a strong history of having bad complications everytime I have "tried" something. With ablation, it is not like the Mirena or the pill where I can just stop. Once it is done, it is done. I either suffer and/or wonder everytime something seems wrong, or it doesn't work at all and end up with hysterectomy anyways. Plus, I do not believe ablation takes care of the cramps. I am not bleeding heavy at all. Just light and frequent. Just wondering if it could be anything else that is causing this.
