  1. I was at Teaching Stuff in Tempe yesterday, and they had a whole Arizona history section. I didn't really look that closely at it since I won't be doing any history for awhile. I don't know what they would have curriculum wise, but I'm sure there were some good extras there.
  2. I meant to be agreeing with Christina. Just to clarify. :001_huh:
  3. I haven't used Abeka with my kids yet, but I went to a private school that used Abeka from K-8. I think it prepares you very well for high school and college. I even minored in math in college. I always had an easy time with math, and I think it was because of Abeka. I have seen a lot of people say that there is too much drill work, and I honestly can't remember if that is true. I just figure they provide more problems to solve in case you need them. My daughter will be doing Math K4 this year, and I am excited to use Abeka with her. I've looked into Saxon as well, and it looks pretty good. If we were to have a problem with Abeka, I would definitely consider using Saxon.
  4. We are just starting preschool this year, so there is not much on there yet. Soon! http://livetolearnaz.blogspot.com
  5. This curriculum sounds great. I hope they are at our convention so that I can check it out!
  6. Our 3/4 year old preschool plans are: Sonlight P3/4 OPGTR (she keeps asking to read by herself so we're going to give it a try) Abeka K4 Math Kumon books ETC The Sonlight curriculum should arrive tomorrow. I'm excited!
  7. I am also new to all of this! My daughter is 3 1/2, and this fall we are going to try out Sonlight P3/4. It is basically just reading a lot of stories that I already wanted to buy anyway. It seemed like a good way to get started with homeschooling without being overwhelming for her.
