    I voted for Phonics Pathways, but I used Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons as well.

    TKAM is my favorite book, but IMO an 8yo is too young to read it. There are mature themes that are best dealt with at an older age. I would say, on the average, a child should be at least 12 in order to read it.

    Thank you, Ellie. I was hoping you'd respond. So, we should just skip Saxon Algebra 1/2 since dd is not struggling?

    My dd11 is in 6th grade this year and is using Saxon 7/6. She is breezing right through it. I am looking at what to buy for her for next year (seventh grade.) Should we use Saxon 8/7? Or should we move on to Saxon Algebra 1/2? Thanks!

    :grouphug::grouphug: I had two miscarriages between my first and second children. I had a D&C after my first miscarriage. The baby had passed away already. I just didn't want to prolong things, so I opted to go ahead with the D&C. I am so sorry for your loss.:grouphug::grouphug:
