I'm currently schooling my 1st and 3rd grader, and it usually takes us 3 hours to do school. This year my 1st grader is using Saxon 1, Sonlight Core 1, and Phonics Pathways. HTH!

:)I haven't used Singapore personally, but one of my good friends uses it with her dc, & they're gifted in math.

After many hits & misses, here's our plan for the fall: Dd8 Saxon Math 5/4 Primary Language Lessons Cheerful Cursive Piano Lessons Ds6 Saxon Math 2 Copy Work (mom chooses from variety of materials) Draw Write Now Possibly will play football, we haven't decided yet Both Five in a Row, Volumes 1 & 2 (adding in extra read-alouds, as well as culture & geography extras--using Trip Around the World books, library, and the internet) Five in a Row Cookbook--working on those culinary skills!

Hello.:001_smile: I didn't see a place for introductions, so I hope this is okay. I didn't want to start posting without saying hello and introducing myself first. I've been homeschooling for 3 years & still trying to find our perfect fit curriculum wise. I own and have now finished reading The Well Trained Mind. I loved it and found it fascinating! I really like the idea of classical education. I have four children...ages 16, 8, 6, and 1 year. To give you more info., the one-year-old is a baby girl still waiting for us in China--we're adopting, obviously.:tongue_smilie: Anyways, that's who I am, so now I'll get on to some posting.
