Ds is using 5th grade. I sometimes use it just for checking answers when I don't feel like working the problems. But, I'd be perfectly at ease without it. Most of the problems are pretty simple to work in my head, or I can usually follow his work easily to find any trouble spots.

The best sled I've ever been on was a cookie sheet. Wild and out of control! The next best was a traditional sled with metal runners. I think you need well packed, almost icy snow for that one. The overall best commercial sled I've purchased has been a flat bottomed plastic toboggan style. It will go on almost no snow. The snow can even be slushy. It even worked once when we had little more than a good hard frost.

At about 11 mine complained about my "old" music. That made me feel old. Now I feel old because dd is trying to give me a heart attack while she learns to drive. "What stop sign???":eek:

The first two came out fine on the second testing. The third had me right on the borderline for gestational diabetes. The third pregnancy went better than the other two. :D

[For those who have done all 4 levels of SOTW, what did you do next?]

This year we have switched to Sonlight. I must admit that I am loving it. My kids are 10, 13,13, and a 15 (who is doing her own high school thing instead of working with the others).

I never like change. The server being busy is something that I really hope they can work on. I doubt anyone will be staying around if that isn't fixed. Hopefully the changes will grow on us as we get used to them.
