Hey, I am a member of CHEER. It is a great group, you should really consider it.

I am in Tulsa. I have three kids ( two boys and a girl ages 11,8, and 6). I am enjoying the sun finally:)

I heard about God's World at my homeschool group and I am looking into it. It seems really nice.

What is HOD? I am currently considering MFW because I have 3 age groups I am dealing with. What are the differences between HOD and MFW?

My kids will be taking some time off in June to visit grandparents in another state. When they get back though, we are going to continue schooling ( at least 3 days a week). Plus we have a garden to tend to and other things that the kids are into. I find that if we don't slow down too much during the summer, we have more flexibility during the rest of the year:)

I think it is just to see the basics. Nothing too intense or formal. I wouldn't worry about it.

I have experienced both. At one time the kids just sat in with the adults and that worked great. Another time, we had someone who wanted to minister tot the children and they went to a separate room and had their own lesson. Just depends on the group of people you are meeting with.

I think that you will make the right decision for you and your daughter. My kids have those days when they don't want to be hs anymore;but when I ask them if they want me to send them to ps, they shout NO! So if your dd really wants to go,maybe it will be a good thing.

Hey, I'm new here too! I'm teaching a 6,8 and 11 year old. I'm looking into the MFW curriculum. Any comments or suggestions form those who use/used it?
