  1. Ok, I know he doesn't recommend doing this. But my daughter is about to start Spanish III and I've just been so dissatisfied with trying to adapt high school textbooks to the homeschool environment. I am fluent in Spanish so I can handle the material, it's just the format I'm struggling with. My two younger kids are starting the ULAT this year and my Spanish III student is interested. Has anyone tried running a crash course of his earlier lessons to get a more intermediate learner "caught up" to his style?
  2. Thank you all! I had no idea that subreddit was so beautifully organized--I'll be spending more time there! This is really helpful.
  3. My rising 10th grader requested to focus on WW1 and WW2 for American History next year, although I'll probably structure it more like a World History class for better context. Resources I currently own are The Human Odyssey volumes 1-3, American Odyssey, all volumes of The Story of U.S., and Ken Burns' documentary The War. Has anyone here spent extra time studying this time period with their high schoolers? Do you have any excellent additions or spine recommendations?
  4. Do you know of any other great ecology schools in GA? What I'm reading about UGA is making me a bit nervous! My DS is interested in wildlife biology or ecology and I'm hunting around for info to help plan out his high school load.
  5. I have a student who would respond well to videos for the enrichment our study of modern history. He's a bright second grader. What are your favorite sources for age-appropriate videos online? Thank you!
