  1. We do the same. I think I learned here (maybe not), not to say I'm sorry and to just say something like, "that's unfortunate" or something similar but I guess that's just semantics really. It is annoying, but when it's expected and frequent it's easier to just ignore it and move on.
  2. I like it dry or with almond milk, but the cereal picks up the flavor of the milk so it tastes nothing like regular milk from a glass. They even sell cereal-flavored milk. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nestle-Sensations-Frosted-Flakes-Cereal-Flavored-Low-Fat-Milk-Ready-to-Drink-14-fl-oz/5079756681?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2359&adid=222222222775079756681_117755028669_12420145346&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-306310554666&wl5=9015255&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=5079756681&wl13=2359&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&&adid=222222222375079756681_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-306310554666&wl5=9015255&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=5079756681&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwh4-wBhB3EiwAeJsppMGzl0XJl0QpaCRABLFrZvMytkM-B26zlqbOEAsKt20hHv_fim8NWxoCXz0QAvD_BwE I know this comes in froot loop flavor too. I like the chocolate cereals with milk because then you get chocolate milk when you're done eating. 😛
  3. Haaaaate! Unless you count chili as a soup...I do like that. I know it must be weird because everyone else seems to love it. I just keep quiet when everyone is raving over soup recipes or suggesting soups for dinner ideas or recommending people bring soup to someone for dinner.
  4. Cream of wheat is not soup. Hot and cold cereals are never soup. I don't want to offend the soup lovers so I won't go on about my hatred of soup, but I absolutely love cereal. They are not even close! This is a hill I will die on! 😛 ETA - black and white! No gray!
  5. LOL, I wish I loved soup and hated cereal!
  6. I really love cereal with milk and hate soup, so they can't be the same thing.
  7. I won't be watching. I love reading, but don't like watching tv or movies. I don't think I even know who Ewan MrGregor is. @GailVthat book looks really good. I'm going to put it on my TBR list.
  8. Counseling is a good idea. We went through two years when I had recurrent medical emergencies and surgeries. Most of the time, DH was home but sometimes he'd be out of town and dd is my youngest and was the only one home at the time. My dd was a sensitive teen then and it was very stressful for her and I felt so horrible and guilty about it. She wouldn't talk about it and wouldn't go to counseling, but I do wonder how that affected her long-term. I'm sending hugs too. What a horrible time for all of you.
  9. Big hugs to you @Tap That's a lot to process all at once.
  10. It depends on your current lifestyle. Are you eating healthy and exercising, but can't bring that LDL down? In that case, it could just be genetic and meds might be best. If you see obvious changes you could make before taking meds, I'd do that first. I know some people who live really healthy lifestyles but still need meds to bring those numbers down. HDL looks good! Oh, I just checked and you are just borderline high for LDL. I'd probably wait a bit and retest if that's the highest it's been. I'm really conservative about meds, though.
  11. I rarely wear make up, but ds is getting married soon and I'm trying to figure out what I need/want to look my best that day even though it's going to be a tiny informal wedding. I want to get setting spray but am overwhelmed with the choices and was hoping someone could recommend a drugstore/inexpensive one for me. And any tips you have on setting spray or anything else with make up/hair would be appreciated too! My skin is pretty normal but maybe gets a little shiny on the forehead sometimes.
  12. I know this thread is old, but I'm learning about make up right now and want to buy setting spray. Do you have a recommendation? Maybe I should start a new thread. I don't want to spend a lot. I rarely wear make-up, but ds is getting married soon so I'm trying to figure out my face. ETA - I'm going to start a new thread. Sorry for dragging up the old one!
  13. We use iExit as well.
  14. I'm reading Breaking Night: A Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival, and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard by Liz Murray. It's very good so far and reminds me a little bit of The Glass Castle.
  15. So precious! ❤️ Congratulations!
  16. Wow, that is scary. I've never had it happen with no trigger. I do get milder symptoms from anxiety but have never come close to passing out. That would have me spooked too since you don't know what caused it and if/when it will happen again. I hope you can be seen soon and figure out what is going on.
  17. I think this is my favorite! 😛 She sounds exhausting to everyone including herself.
  18. Usually they start with the diagnostic mammogram and, if that's inconclusive, they send me to u/s. Last year I had a very young ultrasound technician who didn't know what she was doing and she just smashed my breast down as hard as possible to get a good view through the dense tissue. She spent so much time and was crushing my breast. She got someone else to help her and he just came in and flipped my breast around and got what he needed at different angles rather than all from the top so he didn't have to crush me. That was much worse than any mammogram I've ever had!
  19. Some people are just awful. I'm so sorry. 😞
  20. oh, that's good to know! It's just more time and money since I always end up going for the u/s. Thank you.
  21. I have extremely dense breasts and have been called back for diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound several times after my screening mammogram. I went for my screening mammogram yesterday and the results came back right away saying I need to come back for an ultrasound, but it didn't say anything about a diagnostic mammogram. I'm wondering if anyone has been called back for just the u/s and was able to skip the mammogram part? I'm wondering if I'll still need it and the results just didn't show that.
  22. we've done this too. It's amazing how much can get done when everyone works for 15 minutes! I think we used to do 20 when my kids were younger and then we'd always have a treat.
  23. I just heard this on a radio talk show the other day, but wasn't sure if it interfered with birth control pills or just due to the hormone changes that could come with weight loss.
  24. @SpryteI'm sorry you've been so sick. 😞 Hope you feel better very soon.
  25. Wow, that's amazing. So glad you were there and able to help! ❤️
