  1. As soon as Aissak said she hated soup, you'd say "Ah-ha! That's Kassia!"
  2. That's terrible. 😞 Aw, you seriously made me tear up. I love this forum and feel so fortunate to be part of this community. But I never feel like I do *enough.* I see other people on here more often who give more support, better advice, etc. and I feel inadequate. I've received so much here and want to give back. I especially feel guilty when I'm short on time and can't give people the attention I want to - especially if they are coming here for support.
  3. another boardie was nice enough to share with me! I never would have guessed. I'm really clueless.
  4. Oh, I'm 99.9% sure it's just a cyst. I'm not concerned about it at all. I just didn't know if it's common for something to be seen on mammogram but not at all on u/s. ETA - and, yes, I'm much more concerned about DH who actually has a diagnosis and other issues that I'm having.
  5. Wow! I have no idea who she is now!
  6. I'm not either. I have a tough time keeping certain users straight already. If anyone changed, I'd be completely lost. I'm already impressed with members who really seem to know people so well here (and I feel guilty that I don't). But I'm in awe of those who figure out people's new names! LOL I don't think anyone would figure it out if I changed. There are very few things I post here that would be unique or memorable enough and I don't think I have a strong personality/presence.
  7. @KatyI'm sorry about your family member's diagnosis. That's awful. My situation isn't important at all.
  8. I'll go...I'm just frustrated about spending so much on imaging all the time. Last year, I had 3 MRIs, 1 CT scan, several x-rays, plus a diagnostic mammogram and u/s. I'm just wondering how common it is to see a mass on mammogram, but nothing on ultrasound.
  9. I have extremely dense breasts and frequently get callbacks after my screening mammogram for more imaging. This time they saw a mass at the screening mammogram, but from the description it looked like it was just a cyst and nothing to be concerned about. I went for the ultrasound today and they couldn't find the mass that was seen on the mammogram (after exclaiming how dense my breasts are) and said I need to come back in six months for another mammogram. I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else where the mass was seen on mammogram, but not ultrasound. I'm not concerned, just irritated about all of this imaging for what is almost certainly nothing. I know they have to order the imaging to be safe, but it's expensive !
  10. I don't think @Melissa in Australiais rude either. I always provide soap bar/shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower as well as a guest basket filled with travel sizes/samples of those items plus a couple of toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, lotion, etc. If someone opened a bar of soap and left a partially used bar I'd prefer to throw it out for hygiene issues like your DH, but my DH would prefer to keep it and use it because he's more frugal than concerned about shared germs or whatever. So that's why I think it could go either way. If you know it will be tossed and want it, I'd take it if it's not too messy. Otherwise, I think it doesn't matter either way. ETA - the guest basket is in the bathroom
  11. I think either is fine. I wouldn't think either way of it as the host.
  12. I just found her on instagram and am following her now. Thanks for sharing.
  13. What a great update! Glad you got it done and are happy! Enjoy! 🙂
  14. We do the same. I think I learned here (maybe not), not to say I'm sorry and to just say something like, "that's unfortunate" or something similar but I guess that's just semantics really. It is annoying, but when it's expected and frequent it's easier to just ignore it and move on.
  15. I like it dry or with almond milk, but the cereal picks up the flavor of the milk so it tastes nothing like regular milk from a glass. They even sell cereal-flavored milk. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nestle-Sensations-Frosted-Flakes-Cereal-Flavored-Low-Fat-Milk-Ready-to-Drink-14-fl-oz/5079756681?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=2359&adid=222222222775079756681_117755028669_12420145346&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-306310554666&wl5=9015255&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=5079756681&wl13=2359&veh=sem_LIA&gclsrc=aw.ds&&adid=222222222375079756681_117755028669_12420145346&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-306310554666&wl5=9015255&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=5079756681&veh=sem&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwh4-wBhB3EiwAeJsppMGzl0XJl0QpaCRABLFrZvMytkM-B26zlqbOEAsKt20hHv_fim8NWxoCXz0QAvD_BwE I know this comes in froot loop flavor too. I like the chocolate cereals with milk because then you get chocolate milk when you're done eating. 😛
  16. Haaaaate! Unless you count chili as a soup...I do like that. I know it must be weird because everyone else seems to love it. I just keep quiet when everyone is raving over soup recipes or suggesting soups for dinner ideas or recommending people bring soup to someone for dinner.
  17. Cream of wheat is not soup. Hot and cold cereals are never soup. I don't want to offend the soup lovers so I won't go on about my hatred of soup, but I absolutely love cereal. They are not even close! This is a hill I will die on! 😛 ETA - black and white! No gray!
  18. LOL, I wish I loved soup and hated cereal!
  19. I really love cereal with milk and hate soup, so they can't be the same thing.
  20. I won't be watching. I love reading, but don't like watching tv or movies. I don't think I even know who Ewan MrGregor is. @GailVthat book looks really good. I'm going to put it on my TBR list.
  21. Counseling is a good idea. We went through two years when I had recurrent medical emergencies and surgeries. Most of the time, DH was home but sometimes he'd be out of town and dd is my youngest and was the only one home at the time. My dd was a sensitive teen then and it was very stressful for her and I felt so horrible and guilty about it. She wouldn't talk about it and wouldn't go to counseling, but I do wonder how that affected her long-term. I'm sending hugs too. What a horrible time for all of you.
  22. Big hugs to you @Tap That's a lot to process all at once.
