  1. Dh took me on a hike today, crossed the river in the canoe, then up a steep deer trail. My daily dog walks on the steep trails behind our house were at least somewhat helpful, lol. Beautiful day in an old burn, saw meadowlarks, geese, flicker, eagle, 6 deer. Coming down whatever he said it was - 60 or 70% grade - was challenging, but satisfying for this 50 year old. We used to do this as newlyweds, neat to start up again as empty nesters.
  2. Daily walk. I feel like I need to make up a challenge, so I have something new to add every day, lol. I'm partway to Timbuktu or something. But at 12km or so per week it will have to be something pretty close by. 😄

  4. Paused on under 55. So in my province being offered in the large urban areas for those between 55-65, weighting risk factor of blood clot from Covid much greater than risk of blood clot from AZ.

  9. Is anyone aware of the best doctor familiar with Ewing Sarcoma? There is an 11-year-old B.C. girl who is stuck between what was supposed to be two-part spinal fusion surgeries, paralyzed from the chest down following a large hematoma. The second surgery became emergency surgery to remove the hematoma rather than completing the fusion. Her family is hoping for a doctor who may have seen this before.   10. Daily walks yesterday and today, after work. I keep meaning to do exercise in the evening, but distractions distract.
  11. We managed to pull off one covid-friendly book club meeting in the past year. The most popular item was Skor Chocolate trifle, served in individual cups.
  12. Mini bacon/egg tarts, mini strawberry pie tarts and mini cinnamon buns have all been popular here.

  15. That makes sense. It is overwhelming, but nice to get something that suits your family! We went with birch cabinets for the bright wood grain. And lighter flecked countertops.
  16. Broke out the trail runners! Did a one km walk/jog, running about half of it. Had to stop for a bit of snow and mud, and because last fall was awhile ago for my lungs :D, but so nice to be on the ground!! 20 minutes bodyweight circuit, too.
  17. Blond maple? I love it. If you like it and don't need to stay up with the latest trends for some reason, keep it! Is it the wood or the style of door? Maybe you could get new doors in a similar wood with a more current line to them? Some new, brighter pulls?
