  1. I won't tell you how ridiculously long my kitchen remodel ended up taking but I will say .. I was quite happy with it once it was completed and I hope you will be too.
  2. We use Whatsapp internationally. Our mobile plan just for an example, includes unlimited data and texting in several countries but is $0.25 per minute for voice calls either incoming or outgoing.
  3. Did anyone watch this? I may have been ugly crying over it. Loved it. I think it hit a little harder right now as I have a friend going through something similar. Zoe Saldana absolutely broke my heart. So good. https://www.houstonpublicmedia.org/articles/shows/houston-matters/2022/11/17/437710/the-true-story-of-love-and-loss-that-inspired-the-new-netflix-series-from-scratch/#:~:text=Houston Matters-,The true story of love and loss that inspired the,of his mother's Sicilian kitchen.
  4. Do you have Chicken Salad Chick where you are? I've heard good things about their Pimento Cheese.
  5. I thought this was so funny that I relayed it to DH and DS (18) ... they both laughed heartily.
  6. Same day to three day for most things.
  7. There are museums where I would pay that rate/have paid that rate. In that area there is a lot of competition which should impact their admission prices. I would not. People complain every day about the admission prices at our museum - $17 for adults, $13 for kids .... and we have 5 hangars and a fleet of fully restored aircraft to maintain.
  8. I would encourage them to quit.
  9. The ones in our town are semi-hidden. Like they have websites and social media but you can't see them from the street. The one I go ro is a themed one (they've done star wars, wonderland, harry potter and are currently doing lord of the rings, i know Nightmare Before Christmas is up next... they decorate and change the atmosphere and menu to keep with the theme) . It's in a sort of hidden room off a main restaurant and there's no signage for it. Similarly there are a couple in our downtown area that are down a staircase or out the back of something.
  10. DH is far more of a shared than I am. Especially since his Mom is a nurse and he tells her all kinds of things. His mom has made comments about mine and my parents health that are MADE UP. Things that no one told here she just decided to diagnose on her own. I tell her nothing. She may be a nurse. She isn't MY nurse and I have not asked for her advice.
  11. So today I put on a new sundress and the bra I was planning to wear with it totally didn't work. I took off the bra and realized that it worked just fine without a bra... so I went out to lunch with no bra! Crazy talk!
  12. I ask because I have an insurance adjustor coming to my house and thought "oh I should go put on a bra" I'm not so busty that I need one for physical.comfort/to prevent back pain. I know intellectually that the research indicates that wearing a bra does not "prevent sagging" with age I do think some clothes look good with a smoothed and lifted line. So I can see that. But I'm sitting here in yoga pants and a tee shirt. Why do I think "I should put on a bra" ?
  13. Oh, love, I can't imagine the level of unbearable you're facing. Be gentle with yourself.
  14. "What do you think?" Doesn't feel neutral. It feels like " I don't have anything nice to say so I won't say anything"... I wear my hair very short and I have friends who definitely don't love it lol and they say things like that. Say "oh it's so stylish" or " what a fun change" or something like that.
  15. When you call in the Costco order you can ask them to double slice it (so you have normal pizza slices not Costco plate filling slices).
  16. I mostly print through Google photos these days, sometimes snapfish. Special prints (like my kid's senior photos or something) I use persnickety prints.
  17. I've read a bit about their field training! I find it fascinating! I only took one college Geology class but I really enjoyed it and loved studying it with my kids!
  18. Absolutely not. I was kidding avout! So sorry that levity can be hard to communicate here! I am genuinely interested in hearing about your father's work.
  19. ((((Dawn)))) the Hive is thinking good thoughts and praying and... whatever else we do... for you!
  20. None of us are 80. So "personal experience" is gonna be hard to come by. The geologists still working with lunar samples, they could have been lied to I suppose. The radiation signatures could be falsified. The technicians restoring spacecraft for display, yup they've touched Apollo modules. If you choose not to believe the 12 moon walkers and all the vast quantities of physical and photographic evidence they supplied... and the hundreds of thousands of people who worked on the project-- what exactly would you qualify as evidence?
