  1. I also printed the SSL coloring pages 6 to a page of card stock to create flash cards (free on their site) and use for games. I feel like that is enough for now. Once Robby is reading more fluently I will probably start Prima Latina. I already own this from when I was homeschooling my sister. Love those coloring pages as flash cards. GREAT idea!!
  2. Thx! That's a good starting point. I think I can pull some of that from the CC foundations book. We don't do CC, but the book sure does come in handy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I need help..... What Latin memory work is best to start on. I'm not ready for an actual read & write curriculum, but am interested in strictly memorizing vocab at this stage. Help me come up with ideas as to where to start, please! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. We practice memory work around here. I tend to offer memory work for whatever we are currently studying. My daughter was working in the the solar system and found herself intrigued by gravity. We have read some books on gravity & so forth.... but I have not been able to create actual "memory work" based on what we've seen. Can you guide me on how to create memory work? I have a CC guide, but they have nothing on gravity specifically. How do y'all do this?! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I am trying to implement a circle time for my family. I have children who are 11, 4 (though extremely gifted and in 1st or 2nd work), 2 and 4 month old twins. I am trying to be extremely realistic about how short and sweet our time needs to be while finding a way to really work in their hearts. For all children (infants optional) I would like to include prayers, hymn, catechism, memory verse, memory work, and on days time permits Story of the World. Then my oldest would leave and we would have our break, then have the littles meet again for their learning songs, and would read aloud in the afternoons. As far as memory boxes go. I have read up on how to file the information once it is retained, but what do I do about all the younger ones coming up? If my 2 oldest know it how will my other three really learn it during our circle time review? Do I throw an older card in with the newer cards till they get it and somehow keep track of who has mastered it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
