  1. ok just trying to make sense of it. :) I am having trouble deciding how I want to setup my one note. I know I want the schedule tab but also have all the yearly plans in each subject for that subject tab. So for ex: Tabs would be--Weekly schedule, math, history, english....In each subject tab would have the syllabus and schedule for that subject. So History would have the syllabus and the yearly schedule that I would need to move to the weekly schedule. is that too cumbersome? Am I overthinking this?
  2. Do you keep copies of what he did before you uncheck it?
  3. got another question again and its probably a stupid one. If I link up PDFs into onenote for part of their assignment, they have to have those PDFs on their computer right? Holly
  4. Your rotating weekly schedule for your 8th grader.....Do you transfer the information from your subject tabs to your weekly schedule? I see that it looks like you are doing a daily schedule too. Is there a reason you do both weekly and daily pages?
  5. I have another question. If I do a year plan for each subject in the Onenote in its own tab. Is the information transferable to the weekly schedule tab? Thanks!
  6. Somebody mentioned they use Outline + with one note. Can you tell me what Outline+ does for you in One note?
  7. Ok I didn't know CAP had suggestions on their website. Off to check! Thanks guys!!
  8. Hello, I did a search on all forums about this. Only one came up back in 2011. I wonder if anybody figured out the schedule for the program. I do have the TE, Student book and the DVDs. I am just not sure how to divide it up as some are very long and some are short. There are chapters then within the chapters are fallacies. Would hitting one fallacy a week be good? Ignore the chapters headings?? Holly
  9. I decided not to do Geography with history. Want to do a separate program. My college kid informed me that he didn't learn geography very well with history. It needs to be a separate course. An inexpensive open and shut, get it done program.....Any advice?? (hopefully with two kids doing it together)
  10. For Rhetoric though.....I put it under English due to the writing involved however I didn't say Rhetoric on the transcript. I talked about it in the cover letter.
  11. In Indiana...we have what is called Directed Electives and Electives. So if you maxed out on English credits it will fall under Directed Electives such as if you took Mythological Literature or extra comp classes then it goes in the Directed Electives. Indiana English is 8 credits (2 credits a class for one year). This is 4 English classes over 4 years (or you can take 2 at a time but Indiana likes to see one for each year)
  12. I graduated my oldest and they changed it since his graduation. So I have do a lot of tweaking to figure it out. :(
  13. I have no choice as Indiana colleges wants Core 40 on the transcripts in order for acceptance. We require all of our kids to do the Core Academic Honors on the Core 40 sheet.
  14. Ok I did a search on 10th and nothing came up of the sort. I did Sophmore nothing. Thanks for the help in figuring out the search method.
  15. My son will be taking Art of Argument for Sophmore year. I have no idea where it would go on transcript. I am from Indiana and our system is screwy. Not sure where Logic would go under. Here is what the system is: English/LA 8 credits (including Speech) Math 8 credits Science 6 credits Social Studies 6 credits (It wants to see US history -2 credits, 2 credits of World History, 1 credit of US Gov't, and 1 credit Econ....Anything extra falls under electives) Directed Electives 6-8 World Lang, 2 credits Fine Arts rest of credits can apply to career/tech PE 2 credits Health 1 credit Electives 6 credits this is additional credits not fall under Directed Electives Minimum of 47 credits is required for Honors Diploma here in Indiana.
  16. I am trying to look for sophomore schedules. I have searched it and none is coming up. Btw I am from Indiana so our system is a bit screwy. Holly
  17. I do not think so. I checked back here to see if anybody did.
  18. Ok my next question is if I set up the yearly subject with all the links....What is the best way to transfer that to either a weekly table or a daily table? Would I have to do it individually instead of copy and past the table for the daily or weekly?
  19. oops hit the post button...about daily schedule. Not sure if there are any benefit to it. If so please do tell
  20. I think the first step for me is to decide on paper how I want to set it up. Either go by subject planning first then plan week by week??? you know have your yearly subject plan done then all I have to do is to plug in the subjects to be done each weeks. This is the only way I can see it for it to work due to the crazy schedule of working full time outside the home and not knowing my work schedule until the job I applied for is filled. I applied for a higher paying job with better hours. I can do this due to my kids being very independent. OneNote will make it so much easier for me to keep tabs on everybody while I am at work. :) Very few folks here do the daily schedule.
  21. Yes! that is the answer I was looking for. Thank you for the rest of the help. Head is swimming right now. May have questions later. Going to try doing this and then may come back for help. lol
  22. I am trying to understand this. You can't edit in OneNote? So if you did the table in Word then uploaded it to OneNote....what if you had to edit the table again or the data within the table would you be able to do it OneNote or would you have to go back to Word and edit then upload again?
