Okay a while back I found a site that sold a checklist for all grades - It had listed everything your child should know in order(history events in order-not per say grade order) - I think it cost around $15.00 can not remember her name or what the list name was called. Wow! I am at loss of words for the horrible environment this teacher/school brings into a child's life. I am so glad that your dh and you are good parents and caught this and have removed her from school. Also, I would not think of her as slow ~ I feel a 4 yr. old needs to learn through play, songs, and hands on fun~ not workbooks and isolation.

ChicoryChick, Thank you for the excellent idea. We have discussed just a bit about drugs, but I feel you are right - ds will be fine with a deeper discussion and maybe we should add a bit on diseases.

Yesterday, as we were talking ds said he does not like our health book - Abeka 5 Enjoying Good Health - he finds it boring. This would be his 6th yr.doing Abeka Health and they do tend to repeat, repeat, repeat!! Also, last year I went out of the box and added tons of hands on, computer, lap-book etc. mostly on the human body. I believe we have watched every MSB, Bill NYE, DK eyewitness Khan Academy movie/show. So what to do - would you let him test through each chapter? Skip Health altogether? (It is not required by our state to have health at this age.) Change to something else?? If change please give suggestions (as I am at a loss) Or Is there a good book with activities we could read? (we do science and hist. this way) Thank you,
