  1. I've only watched a couple episodes, and not recently. But I do remember one episode where it showed them all kneeling to pray in a room together. and.... I probably shouldn't say this, but, I can't imagine one man being able to satisfy that many women unless he has some kinda s@x drive. Or unless they have no s@x drive.
  2. I've got 500 words and a lot of brain storming to do. It's a start.
  3. It wasn't easy. LOL You remember that episode of everyone loves Raymond where Ray was paying the bills and made a mess of it? He wanted to know why she was being so calm. Debra told him when you're on the titanic, you lower the life boats you don't stop to yell at the iceberg. LOL Really the only thing there was to do at that point was clean up the mess and feed everyone breakfast.
  4. As long as it doesn't have to be good, I can get words on paper. lol :D
  5. Thanks, I didn't think of emailing myself or google docs. I don't see myself writing in any sort of linear fashion, so I'm trying to figure out how to do this without having a bazillion files on my computer.
  6. second of all, where do I write? I mean is there like somewhere online I can store my work if I don't want to save it to my computer?
  7. I know it's late to start, but I keep thinking about trying nanowrimo. I have never written anything in my life that wasn't assigned for a grade, lol. But, eh... I need something to do. So if one doesn't know how to write a novel but would like to find out if one would enjoy novel writing... where do you start?
  8. says ds (6) as he walks into the living room, his feet covered in blue paint. I had been painting his room. Had 3 walls done, except up by the ceiling. The paint was put up, and shouldn't have been where it could be kicked over. But it was in the floor, lid still on but leaking everywhere. First thing ds said, was I didn't do it!!! He tracked it across the floor in the the hall and living room. Then when I thought it was cleaned up, dd found some to step in and tracked it across the house again. It's going to be one of those days.
  9. good luck! Hope you find one. It is difficult, we had to drive quite a way out of the way to get to one, because none locally will accept it. Can your dentist or GP refer you to one? That was how we found ours.
  10. I did call the company and they were very helpful. To have 2 students using the same disk at once, you have to create another administrative acct on your computer. So I created another acct and gave it dd's name, then installed TT to that acct. When it's time for her to do her lesson, she just has to switch users and when her screen comes up it will be her version of TT instead of her sisters.
  11. Thank you. Very timely, I was just talking to someone about this yesterday.
  12. We really liked it too, but I'm thinking it will be a one season show also. I'm really digging it and Grimm.
  13. beans and rice with sausage and okra. Sausage could also be fixed for his lunch and breakfast. Set part of the beans aside for chili and jiffy mix cornbread. Save part of the hamburger from chili for spaghetti. Get seasoning, noodles and sauce at a dollar store (like dollar general), it'll probably be cheaper. If there are bread stores, like a wonder bread thrift store, check there for his bread, cereals, crackers, and snacks. Check dented can stores for cheap veggies and other items.
  14. Especially your older kids? The 12yo no longer enjoys spending an afternoon playing with toys, and the 10yo is getting that way. 6yo has no one to play with and he's bored. They have done nothing but sit in front of the TV today. I tried throwing them out for a while, but they came back in and said they were bored and cold.
  15. if my thighs weren't covered in cellulite, I honestly wouldn't mind being curvy. I like the general shape of my body, even when I'm this heavy, I just don't like how things jiggle.
  16. I would eat them. Refrigerators are a fairly new invention and people survived eating leftovers somehow. At least that's what I tell myself in these situations. I served chili for breakfast a couple days ago because it was left out over night.
  17. That is something else that sounds like a really great field. The school near me don't offer it though. Mostly I just want a degree in *something*. Anything. LoL It doesn't have to be medical, since I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.
  18. I won't an adviser to talk to until I pick a major, or finish registering till I pick a major. I know I can change it to something else when I get in there if I need to, I was just thinking out loud. :001_smile:
  19. Next semester I'm going back to school, and I want to try to get into the surgical technology program. But it only takes 18 people a year and realistically, there's a chance I may not get in because way more people than that will apply. I'm going to think positively and try for it anyhow ;) But until then I have to major in something other than that. So, someone suggested drafting on the other thread when I was thinking about technical fields. That did interest me. Sounds really cool. So that maybe a possibility. But they give preference to people with medical backgrounds. Would majoring in something medical give me any weight?
  20. I was talking to someone about the curriculum she uses. She makes up her own, and uses classical music/art to create her lessons. She picks one artist/composer and does a study on him, then pulls all her history, LA and everything from that study. I would really enjoy something like that, I think. But I'm not inclined to create my own lessons at the moment. Are there any programs out there like that?
  21. My oldest could at 4, middle child did closer to 8, ds 6 could if he wanted to, but he doesn't really want to. He's working on it.
