  1. I love veggies dipped in hummus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. They go out of business. Maine had a non-profit co-op that started right after the ACA took effect. The first year their premiums were ok, the next year they went up a lot and then they stopped taking new customers and eventually closed down because they were not taking in enough to pay out claims. 3. We did this one winter with ours and the next summer it ripped (while we were in it, that was fun!) and we had to throw it away. I don't recommend leaving it up. Then again we live in Maine and get more severe winter weather than you do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Sorry, but I have a very active lifestyle and I sweat a lot. Workout clothes are just what works for me. If I changed my clothes every time I went somewhere I would have to change several times a day and I just don't have time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It's not ethical but not exactly illegal either. We had one calling us constantly for my SIL a couple of years ago. SIL has never lived with us (she's never even lived in the same state!) has a different last name than us and had actually paid the debt in question. I guess their thought is that if they keep calling your family and friends it will shame you into just paying. It didn't work for SIL-she lawyered up. We also still occasionally get phone calls and mail for the previous owners of our house. It's a giant pain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The most interesting part to me is that he thinks homeschooled students don't have the same range of educational opportunities as public schooled kids. This may be true in large, wealthy school districts but here in my tiny rural district my son actually has more opportunities in homeschooling than he would in the public school. For example, our high school only offers US History at the high school level. They take 4 years of it. My son is also studying World History so he is learning so much more than his public schooled peers. Also, our school only offers French and Spanish. My son got to choose any language he wanted and is taking German. He will also be taking Economics at some point, which the public school does not offer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It must be the unconditional love and companionship. My husband had some emotional problems stemming from slight parental neglect as a child. The one thing that has really helped him overcome is his chocolate lab. She has fixed him, in a sense. She is 10 years old and I don't know what we'll do when the time comes for her to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, and Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Therapy ice cream. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have encountered that attitude and I think it's wrong. I have clinical depression and I have to take medication for it. Believe me, I prayed and prayed about it. God's answer to me was to use the medical wisdom he has given us. I have a SIL who believes that Christians should not be depressed. However, she has never been severely depressed. I think that it's easy to think that Christians shouldn't be depressed or that they need to pray more if you have never experienced the dark pit that is clinical depression. But most of us would never tell a diabetic he shouldn't take insulin, that he should just pray about it. I am very open about my own struggles because I don't want this to be a taboo subject in the church. I don't hide the fact that I am on medication and I don't hesitate to ask people to pray for me when King's are really dark for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. High waisted granny panties. My husband hates them but the purpose of underwear is function. I love Jockey; they have some nice gently shaping briefs that aren't constricting and they are made for no panty lines too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sounds like you should really work on eating more first thing in the morning. I completely understand it being difficult, I don't like to eat in the morning either but eating signals your metabolism that it's time to pick up the pace. I don't think there are any magic in/out numbers, everyone is different. But under 1000 calories per day is not enough. I find a lot of nutrition and exercise help at girlsgonestrong.com. Just the other day they had an article about women not eating enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Teva boots? They make winter boots but I've never tried them. Try 6pm.com for good prices on last season's styles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. We just started the German 1 program on the Georgia Virtual Learning website. We are only a couple of days in but so far so good and it's free. It's basically an online textbook. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I only actually shampoo twice a week. The rest of the time I use conditioner only-it will clean your hair without stripping it. Lately I have been using the L'Oreal EverPure smoothing duo for color treated hair. It works great. My hair is healthier than it has been in a long time. There are other ones in that line for different hair types so you would choose the one that works for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Kids in my high school did it all the time. Mostly just the more advanced ones though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
