  1. :lurk5: I have the same problem. I read somewhere that they need a planner just like we do. They need to start taking responsibility now so that when they go to college or in real life, they know what they need to do. I have not implemented yet, but someone mentioned here that Rod and Staff has a student planner. It's on my list to buy. :lurk5:
  2. great, I'm not the only one with DNS. My daughter just told me last week that I need to start saying what I actually mean. Instead of pointing, saying that, that. I am actually wondering how am I going to HS this kids when I can't even remember the names of simple things like spoon and cup.:tongue_smilie: I'm a future HMSCer, thank you for bringing it up. I feel better now.:D
  3. Let me tell you, I went to a naturalist about 6 months ago and she gave me natural Progesterone (bio-identical) and I't made a world of difference. You apply nightly 14 days after your your cycle starts, approx 2 weeks before. You feel better throghout the day with energy, no grumpiness and just better over all. This is also used for menopausal women and is used 3 weeks and one week break. It's supposed to have no long term side effects. You may want to do some research on this. I't has been announced on alot of talk shows including Dr. Oz. This is a cream that comes in a measured pump. Please do your own research, I have found them in natural food stores.
  4. I'm with Wendi. I've tried step before and can't figure out those moves. I spend most of my energy and frustrations trying to figure out where to turn, when to step, sideways, turn, ohhh I'm getting confused again.:tongue_smilie: I'm very proud of you, keep it up. Keep us posted on your weight loss.:001_smile:
  5. Jalapeno poppers, sorry I don't have a recipe. I just buy from Costco and heat in oven. When I put out as appetizers their the first to go.
  6. Thank you Pamela, it's nice to know that I can come here and receive good advice. I will keep searching:001_smile:.
  7. Jennifer, I am def. going to look into K12. I have heard positive things about it but have ignored:tongue_smilie:. I'f I have more question I will pm you. Thank you.
  8. Your right Rebecca, this is a concern, my 5yo is very bright and I hope this won't hold him back.
  9. Thank you Jennifer, I have not looked into K12 because since it's a gov't program I didn't think I't was very academic. I'm assuming that's it's similar to what they use in public schools. I will have to look into it and maybe it's not what I think it is:confused:. :001_smile:
  10. Thank you Ellie, if I enrolled my kids w/ BJU I would use a private umbrella school to cover me with the legal aspects of hmscing. That could be a plus since they offer programs for kids, classes, field trips, attendance records, and grades. I wanted an all around school so that I won't be overwhelmed with all the decision making for a newbie like me. I know I would tweak the program with some things that I have already purchased and probably add.
  11. I have been getting some catalogs, it's been a slow process. I think what attracts me to this school is that it's a College Prep. school and seems academic, unfortunatley I don't have the experience to know otherwise.:tongue_smilie:
  12. I'e been pondering over this school:confused:. This will be my first year hscling and want an academic/lots of support all in one program. My kids will be 6th, 2nd and 1st. If you have time I will really appreciate.:001_smile::001_smile: Laurel Springs School www.laurelsprings.com I've been hearing good things abou BJU, so I just can't decide.:tongue_smilie:
  13. I got some really great ideas, of course some over the top. I'll take the cook for sure.
  14. I loved all of the suggestions, I feel broke now. I think my hubby will put me on a budget if he sees this thread.
