  1. Hi Pam, Thanks for you reply. I appreciate your comments. Is it a program where you can pick and choose parts to do/not? I am already using AAS and want to continue that. I think my boys would really love the museum, knights, and the historical nature of phonics museum. My oldest ds is having trouble becoming a fluent reader and so I thought maybe the games and songs in phonics museum would give him some more practice in a fun way. Do you think it is possible to use it in that way? What was your opinion of the readers? Thanks!
  2. Have any of you used Phonics Museum? I have been considering getting it but I just can't decide. I like how it incorporates history and real art with phonics. I have read some reviews on it and they seem very mixed?? My oldest son is struggling a little bit with his reading and becoming a fluent readers and so I am looking for something that will motivate him. He really likes history. We are working through the OPGTR and I plan to keep on using that as well Any advice would be welcome!
  3. Thanks so much for the quick reply!!! I am definitely going to order from the Book Depository soon - I don't know when I will get my books though since Canada Post is on strike.
  4. I've only seen the Book Depository on Amazon before as one of their "marketplace" sellers and those books are always used. When you order from the actual book depository site are the books used or new? Sorry for the silly question, but I want to be sure before I order a whole bunch of books because they are SO much cheaper than Amazon!!! Also, for those of you who have ordered from Canada did you pay any customs or duties? Thanks!
  5. I couldn't see it either - it says password protected?? I would love to see it! We are going to be starting MOH and STOW 1 in September. Thanks!
  6. Hi, I am getting ready to start MOH 1 in the fall. I was wondering if it was worth it to buy the CD of timeline figures or just go with the pre-printed set (which you can copy for your own family)? Are there any benefits to the CD other than being able to re-print them? The pre-printed sets are less $ now, but I don't want to regret not having spent the $ on the CD later! Thanks!
  7. I have only used Get ready, Get set, Go for the Code. With those, I have only used the teacher's manual for the instructions for the listen and follow the directions pages. There are one of these pages for each letter. The instructions describe one of the pictures, then have the child point to the picture, say the name, sound it begins with, and then the tm tells the child what to do to the picture, i.e. colour it red, draw a box around it, add a hat to it etc.....
