  1. FYI, Victoria Secret is doing 30% off and free shipping tonight only. I grabbed 3 bath bombs :) I had a $10 coupon for them I was able to stack so 3 bombs for .71 shipped. Those are part of MY Christmas gift.
  2. From what I understand, that means that GA didn't expand medicaid. If they had, the person would be eligible. Instead they are stuck in the hole - too low income to qualify for subsidies, too high for unexpanded medicaid.
  3. I"m in for November as well please ETA: My main focus is on bringing more in vs having less go out. My income goals for the month are: Income / Rebates / Sales : $300 / $41.25 Shopkick : 2500 / 90 Swagbucks: 7500 / 138 {And 300 more pending}.
  4. Current totals: Income / Sales: $300/$108.76 Shopkick: 3000 points/ 1352 Swagbucks: 5000 points/ 2413 {and another 3500 pending} Hopefully more sales today. I'm working the postings over and have a few people coming.
  5. We tried the new one but couldn't get into it. Too many changes - the music, the art, and just HOW many sisters does Ms Frizzle have???????
  6. I tried a new one today - Gobble. I don't recommend them - the portions were PAINFULLY skimpy and nothing had good flavor.
  7. Went to the store, picked up freebies. Local chain {HEB} has a bunch of digital coupons for free stuff out. They were out of most of them, but I managed to get 6 boxes of granola bars {went to a friend due to allergies}, 2 big bags of fritos, and a roll of foil for free. I'll try another location later in the week for the rest of the stuff.
  8. Current totals: Income / Sales: $300/$93.50 Shopkick: 3000 points/ 748 Swagbucks: 5000 points/ 2395 {and another 3500 pending} Used my free lyft credits this weekend to go do a ton of laundry. I waited for the free dryer again vs paying. Redeemed 500 Shopkick points for a $2 amazon GC. I'm stashing GC building back up my balance. I've been doing a lot of GC surveys from places. Sold a couple cans of formula I had from rebate offers. I have a few more to list - I'll try to do that today. We did splurge on McDonalds yesterday. Really shouldn't have but DD wanted it. I'll be very happy after Halloween when we can start using the coupons from her treat booklets - it's $1 for a booklet of 12 coupons - 3 sets each of free kids burger, free apple slices, free cone, and free juice // milk. One per visit. Even if we don't use all the coupons before they expire at the end of the year, it's still a GREAT deal. Spent $13 on amazon {used a GC} and bought a new control for our lift recliner. 5 minutes later fixed. I'm thrilled! I might sell it though - I don't absolutely need it, and in the condition it is, now fixed, I could probably get $100 and it go to someone who actually needs it.
  9. Walmart has toys on clearance - a lot of them are out of stock now, but still some decent ones available. https://slickdeals.net/f/10672752-toys-electronics-clearance-sofia-avalor-adventure-set-10-more-free-store-pickup?v=1 I scored a doll, 3 pack of clothes and a doll bed for about $20 total. Stashing for Christmas
  10. Can you get sprint network for data? If you can...try everyoneon.org
  11. Current totals: Income / Sales: $300/$81.50 Shopkick: 3000 points/ 442 Swagbucks: 5000 points/ 2375 {and another 3500 pending} For those who do Swagbucks - there is a Honest Co deal out that is great. Pay about $22 after the discount & get 3500 {$35} in points back in 2 weeks. I did the personal essentials offer and I'll use the items for making a holiday gift basket for a friend.
  12. It is AWESOME. I've used it a few times myself. In college? I would have used it exclusively. PrimeNow is good too but not as big of a selection.
  13. Thank you - it's still ongoing so keep the prayers / good thoughts coming please. They did make check-in yesterday {barely}. So I feel a little better but still very worried.
  14. Please don't quote as I'll probably delete later. Can I ask for prayer / good thoughts? I can't go into detail, but someone I care about is dealing with a high risk situation and it's not going well. I'd appreciate prayers for safety and success for them. I'm worried. A Lot. And have a really bad feeling about it. ETA: Please keep the prayers coming. It's improved a little bit but still extremely high risk for them. Please pray for safety for the person in question as well as a speedy & successful end to this.
  15. Where do you find sturdy, soft, durable cotton sheets for a full size bed that don't cost an arm and a leg? I only need a fitted sheet - not a full set {I'm drowning in pillowcases and flats} My ikea set just gave out. Holes in the middle, as usual. I don't think I'm super hard on sheets, but I'm lucky to get them to last more than 2-3 years.
  16. Well, old schoolers would say teach the child to teach themselves. A lot of old school programs {I'm looking at You, Saxon} were designed to be self-teaching, especially in the higher grades. That has definitely been lost. Programs now expect a LOT more parental handholding and instruction than they did then. That is good for some kids, but I think overall bad because the focus has shifted. We are no longer teaching "how to learn" and that is what made those old schoolers great - they taught children "how to learn" and then turned them loose with materials. I was homeschooled myself in the late 90's. My mother had a 9th grade education. My Father had a 3rd grade education. Yet they educated me well enough that I tested out of most of my high school subjects when I chose {against their wishes} to go to public high school. Parental knowledge didn't used to be seen as a requirement.
  17. Current totals: Income / Sales: $300/$51.75 Shopkick: 3000 points/ 259 Swagbucks: 5000 points/ 273 {and another 2000 pending} Sold some stuff today. Listed more. Picked up another free lyft credit, so I'll probably use it to do laundry this evening. Take a BUNCH and go. Eta: I also had a frugal win. Traded some shampoo & Body wash we turned out to be allergic to for a nice big coffee table. The table is worn, but so's everything else in my house so it fits in. But it's big enough for game boards and plates / drinks which is EXACTLY what I needed. AND it even has a drawer under!
  18. Any opinions on this? I picked up an English course of this today at a giveaway. In looking, it seems like we might like more of their items too so I'd like to hear the opinion of fellow boardies.
  19. SKL - Check Walmart.com for the Mattress. I saw some there on clearance VERY cheaply. Scrapbookbuzz - Congrats on the RV idea! I grew up in one. My advice? Before you go full-time? Do a week or two test run in the yard. It's really surprising the little things you don't think you'll want or need but actually do. I've been spending too. DD desperately needed a new mattress, so that was $100. I could have gotten a cheaper one, but I wanted one that was flippable in hopes of it lasting longer. And I did order one thing for myself too.
  20. Last year we had people refusing to give my dd's friend {12, but looks about 16} candy, saying it was "for the kids". I was VERY irritated at that tbh. Her costume was understated though - a lot of bruises / etc. This year said 13yo doesn't want to go. I wonder why....
  21. You're doing a ton better than me, and I've only one kiddo who's 11!
  22. TMI question...feel free to skip if it's too much. But I'm hoping someone here has ideas. I don't have a good gyn anymore to ask. . . . . . . . . .. . . Maybe TMI, but at what point do you start to worry about a skipped period? I'm 33. I should have started Tuesday. I'm usually extremely regular. Pms symptoms up the wazoo and moody as heck. Monday I spotted a little. Tuesday I was crampy but nothing. Yesterday the same. Today spotting again but it's old / brown. I've done all my usual things to bring it on, with no effect. What the heck is going on???? Pregnancy isn't a possibility either unless it's immaculate or possible without a guy lol. I'd totally think pregnancy though, and I'll probably POAS in the morning just to prove it to myself that I'm not {thank god for cheap pregnancy tests from Amazon!}. It has been a stressful month, and I did gain about 15lbs {thank you, stress eating}, fwiw. ETA: I'm less worried about the lateness, but more worried about the stop-start spotting in conjunction with the lateness. I am not one to usually spot like this. I've spotted all day today - never enough for a pad though.
  23. Current totals: Income / Sales: $300/$0 {But I have about $35 in pending rebates - I don't count until I cash out} Shopkick: 3000 points/ 228 Swagbucks: 5000 points/ 265 I did a big grocery run yesterday. I used a Lyft credit to get home on, so saved a bit there. Gearing up to do laundry again tomorrow at the Laundromat. So that'll be a little spending.
