I am looking for a human anatomy curriculum for my 5th grader. I don't have anything picked out yet. Does anyone have one they would recommend? Also, how much time do you plan for this subject in the school year?

I am considering this and have a few questions for people who do it. What symptoms did you have before you started? After you started did any of your symptoms improve? What hormones are you taking? At what age did you start? How did you test your hormones? Hormones are supposed to fluctuate. I really appreciate any input...Thanks.

I homeschool through a charter school in California. The CAASP testing is in May. I want to prepare my 4th grader well for the test. I did the smarter balance practice test and am wondering what others do to prepare. Thanks.

State testing is coming up in month. I am trying to get my 4th grader ready for the test. What do you do to get your kids ready for the test?

I know it is Amazon because when this started happening I put my name a certain way on my amazon account. When I called the company that my credit card was used on, it was that name. Has anyone else had problems with ordering from Amazon and your credit card # getting stolen? Whenever I order from Amazon my credit card # gets stolen. I am a prime member. This has happened to me 3 times. A year ago, I ordered used school books from Amazon and my credit card was stolen. I had to do a chargeback, cancel my card and get a new one. I set up my account so I would know if it was from them. I ordered again 6 months ago. It happened again. I stopped ordering from them. Last week I decided to try again. I placed an order that was filled by amazon. Today I see a charge on my credit card I didn't make. Now, I have to cancel my card again and get a new one. How do you place orders? Do you use prepaid credit cards?

I was wondering if anyone uses this curriculum and what your opinions are. Do your kids like it? Do they find it more difficult? We are currently using Saxon. I was looking at the book and it seems very different. A friends daughter (4th grade) uses it in school and she thinks she has a better understanding of math because of this curriculum. A friend had her kids (3rd, 5th) make a newsletter. The wrote a book review, joke of the day, sports report, trivia, weather forecast, poem, etc. It was really well done. They used Word. They printed it and then gave them out to their friends in class. I use Excel to make my lesson plans. My daughter (4th) was watching and started telling me how to use it. So, now I am going to have her help write her own weekly lesson plans using Excel. I figure it is a good way to start.

A local school in our area is starting to teach excel, powerpoint, etc, in the 3rd grade. I have a 4th grader next year. we are learning typing but have not started that yet. What computer software's are you teaching and at what grade?

I am considering using MBTP next year. Has anyone used it and what was your opinion? Did you feel the full year curriculum covered the subjects well?
