  1. Oh and I usually DO have to take pain meds with food...but only a very small amount of very bland food, like a cracker or a few pieces of dry cereal.
  2. I'm sorry to hear this. :-( So the nausea happened when you DID take it with food? Can you call the pharmacy that filled the script and ask for suggestions? I get pretty loopy on pain meds and I feel the best when I can just go to bed. Moving around makes me dizzy which in turn makes me nauseous. (((Hugs)))
  3. Ideally: Weekends are Luppers...a biggish late lunch/early dinner. People can make whatever they want in the evening Sat and Sun. And I tried to make meals on Thursday or Friday that have a lot of leftovers. So for those four days, (Thurs - Sun) we have a combo of "fresh" meals and leftovers. Most of us have a "go to" easy meal that we'll eat when we're all going every which way. Peanut butter or scrambled eggs or grilled cheese. Broiled chicken on salad and/or other veggies can be hot or cold.
  4. Rainbow Jello...any colors you want. Red, white, and blue but sometimes it is hard to find the blue this close to the 4th (or that might just be where I live, LOL) https://en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook:Rainbow_Jell-O
  5. Well, this came up in the banana pudding thread...my Hummingbird Bars...
  6. For desserts/sweet, I like fruit flavors. Raspberry would probably be #1...like a raspberry crumble or a raspberry donut.
  7. Funny that Hummingbird Cake has come up. I've been craving my modified recipe for Hummingbird Bars and I happen to have 2 perfectly ripe bananas. Yummy.
  8. Can you barter with someone for dog-sitting? Also, I'd call the vet and see if they can prescribe a pill without seeing her. They might if she's been in recently and it will probably be only a couple dollars.
  9. I discussed it to the extent that I choose to discuss it.
  10. Like I said, people can google. Two or more sides to every story and all that.
  11. Have you eaten a layered dessert of pudding with cut up bananas, Nilla wafers and whipped cream? That's (generally) what it is.
  12. There was a fire chief was was fired after he self-published a religious book that had sections that mentioned sexual behavior he disagreed with, including homosexuality.
  13. I know of this story. The father DID plead guilty to endangering the welfare of a child. And the son was sentenced to 2 years probation. Also, the state assembly recently passed a law in the name of the victim. It continues to move through the legislature. None of this will bring the boy back but both the boy and the father did face some responsibility. I do think weapons should be in safes and accessible only to the owner. Edited to add: the victim's family has filed a civil suit.
  14. Nothing bc we never get pizza delivered. DH is adamant about not paying for delivery. It's a *thing* with him.
  15. I don't have it but perhaps you can email EIL and ask for copies/scans?
  16. And the HOA provides the same things? Or are you not in an area with a HOA?
  17. I'm not sure what sense you think I mean? I tried to leave it a very general question.
  18. So people's answers have raised new questions... I live in a town* that borders a rust belt city...our town has stuff like pools, parks, recreation opportunities...IOW, many of the things people have said their HOA provides. Do the towns or municipalities that you live in also provide amenities like pools, parks, tennis courts? Or laws that prevent people from not maintaining houses or lawns? *it has been a town since the 1800s but most of the homes are 1920s-1950s builds. Not a planned or gated community type place at all.
  19. In addition to SWB and JW and all the wonderful WTM curricula and resources I used over the years: I'm thankful for all the friends who kept me company while waiting for news and celebrated or consoled me depending on what the news brought. I am also grateful for all the people and threads that made me LOL when I needed it most. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
