Recently moved back to Pender County NC. Looking for some local homeschool groups, activities for kids ages G 14, B 12, G 10. Also good places to buy new/used curriculum in the area.

I have but our old doctor kept saying it is due to her being 83% deaf in left and 67% in the right ear. That is how she got into the IEP program. She had surgery and has improved a lot. We have moved recently and are in the process of finding a good doctor. :001_smile: Thank you.

Thank you all so much! This is all still so new to me. We used ACE and they got bored with it and begged for something new this coming year. My kids ages are 13 which is at the 3rd grade level, 11 in 7th grade and 9 in 5th grade. The 11 and 9 yr. old are at or above grade level. I will go to the link you shared and check into it.

I used a boxed curriculum for our first homeschool year but my kids do not want to use it this coming school year. Plus I feel it wasn't a great fit for our family. I am at a loss for what math,spelling and reading program to use for 3 kids one being at a 3rd grade level that had an IEP in public school from Pre-K until they removed her from the IEP program in the 6th grade. We did all the comprehensive testing and placed her at her levels but with little improvement she still struggled and cried getting so frustrated. In the very first week of our homeschool year we could tell she was still having comprehension issues at 3rd grade level. I discovered they would read her, her EOG test and such and pass her on to the next grade! I wish I would have started homeschooling from the beginning but was so afraid of failing them. Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated.
