  1. My parents got us a new refrigerator! It won't arrive until end of Jan but I'm thrilled. We will spend the next week reorganizing the garage to fit the old one. I can't wait!
  2. When I had an abscessed tooth it was not obvious on x rays at first. But I was in excruciating pain (and I've had pitocin induced labor without pain meds). I sobbed at the dentist after dealing with the pain for a weekend. I was in pain Wed or Thursday. Got an xray that did not show an obvious abscess (saw 2 dentists and neither were sure). By Monday my whole jaw was swollen and I was crying at the endodontist. I had to have a root canal (redone from a poorly done one from childhood). I have a lot of sympathy for you! I hope you can get it fixed asap! Oxycodone is the only thing that even touched the pain.
  3. We do a turkey and sides for Christmas Eve dinner. Basically it ends up being Thanksgiving again but I love it. As a kid we did the big dinner Christmas Eve with lots of extended family over. Now it is just my immediate family and my parents but we still continue the big dinnet tradition. It makes for plenty of leftovers for CHristmas Day. Christmas morning we do sausage and egg biscuits then don't cook again all day.
  4. That usually happens to me. Just takes my stomach a little longer to fully recover even if I feel fine otherwise.
  5. We make sugar cookies (dairy and egg free for allergy kid), chocolate cake for my non allergy kid, apple pie for my allergy kid, and pumpkin pie for the adults. ETA I haven't made anything yet but will tomorrow.
  6. I used to but the company went out of business. Just wasn't in demand anymore. I am planning to apply for some other non medical transcription jobs in the new year.
  7. We love Ticket to Ride. My husband wins a majority of the time but one of the kids or I get the win occasionally. We have USA but just got Europe and have had fun wit the tunnel aspect.
  8. It appears one thing I ordered as a stocking stuffer won't arrive in time but it isn't a big deal. I didn't realize when ordering that it was coming from Asia! Our big Santa gift to one kid got lost in the mail but thankfully after the seller hounded USPS and it arrived about 2 weeks later than it should have.
  9. Double check your account to make sure it is the right address selected for that package. Especially if you've moved! Last year my delivered but not here box had been sent to our old house.
  10. I remember the dentist telling me that upset stomach could be a side effect for my kids. They never experienced it though.
  11. Congratulations! Praying he continues getting stronger every day.
  12. My husband fills mine. I put a few things in his as well but ours aren't nearly as full as our kids' stockings!
  13. We gave up on fake cheese years ago. But my son has always been allergic so he doesn't miss cheese. Dairy free is very hard!
  14. We do sausage and egg biscuits for the grown ups and sausage wrapped in a crescent roll for the kids. My oldest is allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts so a lot of traditional breakfast foods are impossible (like quiche!). He loves his sausage and crescent rolls though!
  15. I buy matching paper all at the same time (usually from Hobby Lobby). When I start running low I buy all new and just use p the old stuff on presents for outside the family.
  16. I've said a prayer for you and your family. So sorry for your loss.
  17. I've always enjoyed him, so very sad especially right before Christmas.
