  1. Our plan... Right Start Math All About Reading and All About Spelling Aesops fables by RFP for writing (to be done in cursive which he learned this year) Road Trip USA Mr Q Life Science and/or Home Science Adventures by Stratton House We are looking into a co-op and a PE class. He'll continue soccer and swimming, possibly basketball in the winter.
  2. Wow, congrats! I did OM as a kid and the furthest I ever got was one year of state. I'd try to fundraise if realistically possible.
  3. For 1st we are planning to do: Reading: AAR (which was amazing for my oldest son) Spelling: AAS Math: Right Start B History/Geography: Road Trip USA (with his brother) Science: Not sure yet possibly Mr Q Life Science and/or Home Science Adventures by Stratton House Writing: I'm leaning towards the Aesop' s Fables books by RFP. I only consider this because my older son is doing CAP Writing and Rhetoric Fable. Little brother likes to be like big brother. :) Extras: hopefully Spanish of some kind, soccer, swim team, and a co-op. Possibly a PE class if they have it again.
  4. Oh and look into National Novel Writing Month (NANOWRIMO), they have a kid's version I believe. It is now I got started.
  5. Fiction University...she's a professional writer with a very informative blog about all aspects of fiction writing. I reference it often for my own hobby writing. I think it would be understandable for a 12 year old.
  6. My current (subject to change) plan: Math: Beast Academy with the option to add CLE math if more review is needed. Spelling: AAS Writing: CAP Writing and Rhetoric Fable Grammar: Fix It! History/Geography: Road Trip USA (with his 1st grade brother) Science: Not sure....possibly Mr Q Life Science and/or Home Science Adventures by Stratton House Reading: his choice plus a lit list I'm compiling that he'll read alone or we'll do as a read aloud. He's an above level reader.
