I wrote on the other thread for 1st, but I have finalized some things so I will post here too. Although things may change too. LA: Phonics Pathways Explode the Code 2-5 FLL 1 WWE 1 CtGE 1 Pathway readers for 1st HWOT 1 Spelling You See finishing level A moving into B Math: Miquon Red and Blue Singapore 1A and 1B Bible: VP Gen-Joshua History: VP OTAE (diy) Science: Let's Read and Find Out books Geography: Maps, Charts, Graphs A Art Pac 1 R&S music 1 And lots of read alouds planned. Ds loves workbooks so we will see if this provides enough or if I need to add more. We also will have language class in the afternoon. Soccer in the fall, and swimming in the winter. I would like to find a way to add some handicrafts, and cooking too. I need something to follow though to do it easily. Looks like a lot, but we won't be doing everything each day. I only plan to have school take 2.5 to 3 hours (not including our language learning time)

It is 12:30 here. I just finished school with ds. I am laughing and crying at the same time. Time to call it a day! So I ordered comfort food for lunch and we are going to go to the natural history museum. Skipping all other plans I had for school today. This evening getting together with friends for dinner. And nothing else is going to get done today.....

Is this just simply copywork? Or are there things to point out and do with the selections? Trying to decide between the copybook or WWE guide.

I am looking at the 1st grade enrichment and read alouds. Wondering a few things: 1. How much time weekly does this take? 2. Are you able to have time for longer read alouds? (We did a lot of chapter books this year that we both liked and I want to continue this) 3. How is science tied in? Just through the extra reading or are there activities planned too? And just any thoughts, reviews, and whatnot.

Also- VP cards look to have Child's History of the World listed on the cards. And Easy Classical has The Story of the Ancient World by Gueber/Miller with SOTW. What spine do you think is best for 1st grade? (I know VP is not planned until 2nd grade, but we are starting history in 1st so we can physically visit some places for Greek/Roman history in 2nd)

Looking for thoughts on Easy Classical history schedules. Is the $ worth it? Looking at the books scheduled there are some I wouldn't want to use. So maybe I can make a better schedule myself. The music curriculum with history looks interesting. Has anyone used that? Also what is the geography with history like? Is the digital version capable of being changed by me once I buy it?

Has anyone used the Veritas Press History of Art cards and workbook? How does it work? Any reviews? Considering between these or using Memoria Press art cards.
