  1. The playgrounds are fine their are fun ones and boring ones. But plenty have stuff to imagine kids imagination. Its the level of risk we find acceptable its simply become almost none. My middle child was extremely small and extremely athletic, and adhd drove other parents out of their mind at the park, oh well. I just shrugged y shoulders and said they were fine and let them climb and whatever they wanted.
  2. Yeah it works fine Just make sure you do floor without with enough time to charge before you need him again since he will run until he dies.
  3. I prefer our meetup group. Playdates at the park are the mainstay with kids playing and moms chatting. But pretty much anyone can plan anything with very little work. Its just much more flexible than a once a week co-op.
  4. Probably just a regulation work around. We have pretty much stopped using Airbnb and use VRBO
  5. To be clear I mean an app I have to get to get notifications. Use whatever to send me a text. Yeah I think people just miss things don't read. Most of our activities I get a paper, an email, and their is a shout out on Facebook. Still when the teacher reminds us at pickup their are at least 1 or 2 who don't know anything about it.
  6. Email is good for me facebook and texts work too. A seperate app works but I will hate you.
  7. Any child who can ask can go. I don't think I would make special arrangements for a child to travel for a distant relatives funeral.
  8. I do have boyfriends number DD's phone was being fixed so she let him know using mine. I did text him once to let him know he was being replaced by a 5week old puppy.
  9. My oldest is 17 her boyfriend is 19 and we have met his parents. We don't text like even when they extended an invitation to their large Halloween party it came through the kids. We do have their number because boyfriend went on a roadtrip with us and it just seemed smart to have emergency contact info.
  10. Tumeric is corrosive its doing it to the plastic you will need something different to store it. I think you can still use what you have but idk for sure.
  11. Looks like they will have beautiful weather for the rest of the trip. I hope they enjoy it and it goes well.
  12. Everything was a winner. Only 2 new things this year though. We bought a smoked turkey it was good and it was so easy heat and serve like a ham. The other was roasted butternut squach with feta, bacon and spinach and just a touch of honey.

  17. Yes I look up our house my parents sold it when I was 12 and we moved into a small condo. My dad bought it for like 10k in the 70's sold it for 110k in 96 and the zestimate is now 490k. Its not as cute as when we owned it but its well taken care just the people aren't as into gardening as my mom was.
  18. I agree about screens for self regulating but there are screens that dont have internet access. We have a Rip off old school nintendo and game boy. We haven't had to do it for awhile but they are a great option to allow some screens.

  22. We dumped our membership a dozen years ago. It wasn't worth it for us. We have friends who will grab the few exclusive things for us that we want on occasion.
  23. I had to do this to myself I invited a group of friends for Wine night like Monday for Saturday found out I was pregnant like Thursday. It would have been super noticeable if I didnt drink so I had to fake it all night.
