So I was just sitting here in my warm car in the parking lot
rebcoola replied to Grace Hopper's topic in The Chat Board
You were fine. Taking a few minutes when you get in the car is totally normal. If your area is anything like ours their is no where to move that would be less crowded anyway unless drove to a park. He asked nothing wrong with that. Honestly everyone acted like civilized adults. We should be praising that given all the other stories we've heard. -
I forgot my 2 big kids love Rise of the Guardians and we watch it for both Christmas and Easter

For Fun: Christmas Budget - how do you divide it up?
rebcoola replied to cjzimmer1's topic in The Chat Board
They get the same amount of gifts typically 1 "big" and 2 or 3 small. In general littles get less money spent on them. I can often find their things on sale, consignment or used. Youngest's whole Christmas is like $60 and she will be ecstatic. Its just not possible to get that same level excitement for the teens at a low price and it would be silly to spend more on youngest just to make it even. -
We are into different Christmas movies so. The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special. Shrek the Halls Fatman Violent night Krampus Anna and the apocalypse We are on a mission to watch all the B Christmas horror movies and make a full advent. We watch the Grinches all 3 depending on mood. We read Polar express but no one really likes the movie version here.

Not really we keep a well stocked selection of wine, cider and liquor and once or twice a work friend or similar has shown up with some small gift and we give them a bottle. Kids stuff has always had enough notice to grab something. We live like 3 minutes from a big lots by car.

I have plain green sweater that is hideous like the worst shade of green and hairy looking that we got at the thrift store. Than when their is an event we add decorations so its a new ugly each time. The kids kind of do a friend bought them ugly sweaters as part of a a family gift murder mystery thing but they aren't really ugly.

Tween years are the worst so far being full teens has been much better. They have problems now but 10-14 with hormones was terrible

Never heard of anything more than decorating the car which is sometimes done around here

We just passed it around it was probably 55hour from when youngest puked to when I did but obviously she was way more on me than a teen or adult would be. Than my oldest got it 2 days later she must have just been unlucky because she barely interacted with the sick since her room is on a different floor. We must have missed bleaching a something. Anyways I wouldn't feel confident until 72 hours

My crowns have cost like $300 w/insurance . Cost varies quite a bit since their are different materials
-
I have a the two front teeth I broke as a teen are porcelain and I had them redone a couple year ago because of a crack. For back teeth I just went with the metal though its cheaper and should last a long time.

Yep, in a small town what started as a group trying to get a dozen books relocated to the adult section spiraled into a campaign to defund the library. https://www.thenation.com/article/society/libraries-book-banning/ May not technically banning but it sure would have the same effect.

They take up so little room. We have plates, dessert plates, large bowls and small bowls for 16 fits on 2 small cupboard sheleves.

Banning kids from playing on something because 1 fell and broke a bone is ridiculous.
