  1. Letter recognition crafts work quite well for preschoolers. Phonemic awareness skills are best developed in early childhood.
  2. Hello everyone. Thanks for the suggestions.
  3. Hello everyone. My child is a preschooler as well. He studies at Montclare Children’s School in New York. I was looking for activities I can incorporate at home to encourage learning, and I am so glad to have come across this forum. Thank you to the topic creator and to all the people who commented.
  4. You can go through the curriculum of top preschool on their website and find a number of amazing activities and programs devised by them. I would suggest that you get to know more about a preschool called the Montclare Children's School that is located in New York. It seems to have an extensive array of activities for helping develop not only pre-academic skills but also life skills (such as those involving home science) through its play activities.
  5. My daughter and I have a pretty dynamic 'preschool' routine that begins with praying and breakfast. We proceed with the day by going through her favorite books as well as some books I specially procured for helping develop pre-academic skills in preschoolers. We go on to play with toys/paint/do clay-modeling. Lunch is followed by nap-time after which I help involve her in some sort of interactive play for which I often invite her friends from the neighbourhood.
  6. Hi everybody, I have a 2.5 years old son and I feel now is the right time to send him to a preschool. I am a single Father living in NYC. My neighbor recommended Montclare Children's School and I am pretty happy with their curriculum but I still want to have a look at some more options, so that I can provide the best environment to my kid. Please advise?
  7. Each kid responds to different learning tactics and it is difficult to say if what worked with one kid will also work with another. I'd suggest you to go through the programs of various preschools so that you get a broad view of how they manage kids with different abilities and what innovative ways do they employ to help the kids with counting and other things.
  8. I'd suggest you to go through the programs of top preschools (such as MontClare Preschool). Go through their programs and take a look at what they are doing to make learning fun and exciting for the kids.
  9. I'd suggest you to go through the curricula of top preschools (such as MontClare Preschool). Go through their program and look at what their teachers do so as to make learning new stuff and exploring phonetics easier to learn for the kids.
  10. I'd suggest you to go through the curricula of top preschools (such as MontClare Preschool). Go through their program and look at what their teachers do so as to make preschool teaching interesting.
  11. In this case I'd suggest you to go through the curricula of top preschools (such as MontClare Preschool). Go through their program and look at what their teachers do so as to make preschool teaching interesting.
