  1. I have a kindergartner this year and have previously used Sonlight for my older kids. I actually have Sonlight K from several years ago, but I would like something similar that has more crafts and activities. I know I could use Sonlight and add ideas on my own, but I also have 2 high schoolers and a middle schooler this year and need something more ready to go 🙂
  2. DD16 is interested in really interested in meteorology. Is there a separate high school level meteorology course?
  3. Thank you! It's mostly not having answers to the proofs that has been frustrating! I'm off to buy the solutions manual!
  4. We are on our second chapter and I'm realizing the Teachers edition does not contain all the answers, especially the proofs! I know there is more than one way to prove a concept, so that is maybe why the proofs don't have an answer. I did a search and some have purchased the solutions manual. Does it have more complete answers? It's a bit spendy, so I don't want to get it if it won't help too much. Thanks!
  5. Thank you - with the stress of the surgery, she is relieved to consider taking more time. If we do take can extra year, how do we approach things like taking the SAT, FAFSA, etc? It looks like she could take the November SAT if we sign up soon, before her surgery and then again in the Spring. Could she take it again next fall? What about FAFSA? Wait until next fall?
  6. Dd just turned 18 and is beginning her senior year. However next month, she is having double jaw surgery on her upper and lower jaws which has a very long recovery period (syringe feeding for weeks, no talking for at least 6 weeks). She is nervous enough about it and is worried how she will keep up with school. I'm beginning to think we should consider adding an extra year to get all her subjects in and add AP exams, which we would not be able to this year. Advice from those who have taken an extra year?
  7. I just purchased Foerste's Algebra 2 through Pearson and was able to buy the solutions manual and test book. However, I noticed Pearson does not sell the Precalculus book. Who else sells the solution and test book?
  8. I know there are helpful DVDs out there, but if we just wanted to use the textbook, would the teacher's edition be helpful too? I was thinking of getting the solutions manual and the test book and just teaching from the student text. Thanks!
