  1. I was wondering the same thing. It seems to print the out at home would take a lot of ink and cost a lot of money! Any cheaper alternatives?
  2. I know! I was surprised too. I can't believe I forgot all about them!
  3. How about Glencoe Literature Guides? It is free. I have never actually used it but I have it linked on my blog because someone here, ages ago, recommended it. ;) HTH!
  4. Those are cute but I'm wondering if they would be hot in summer?
  5. Thanks for all the reviews! I haven't actually met the teacher but have spoken to her on the phone. She seems to be very enthusiastic about the program. She and her husband are new to our area so she is trying to get the program up and running in the area. She is only offering one class to see if there is enough interest to provide more. She does have experience and taught classes in the city where she previously lived. Because of this I wouldn't be able to sit in on a class with her. We would actually be the guinea pigs!
  6. There is a class being offered in my area for children ages 16months- 3 1/2. I have never heard of Kindermusik before and thought it might be something fun to do with my dd3. What are your reviews?
  7. My poor little guy hasn't learned to walk yet. When he is crawling inside he is fine, but when I take him outside on our cement patio his poor little knees get all scraped up! He'll ususally start to do the crawl on one knee and one foot crawl because his knees get so sore. I've been looking into buying him some baby knee pads, I didn't realize that there would be more than one style to choose from! I think I like the ones made by Lil' Melon The don't have any velcro and just slip on. The ones with velcro straps just seem uncomfortable. So I'm looking for reviews to help me decided what to buy for my poor little guys knees!
  8. A Living History of Our World by Angela O'Dell I'm planning on using this for our American History studies.
  9. :iagree: I will usually post on the wtb forum after already looking for something on the fs forum and not finding what I need. Things do get snatched up rather quickly so it's a great way to put what you need out there. I have been able to get a few things this way that I may not have been able to get otherwise. I try my best to keep my wtb threads up to date. It does work both ways. There have been many times that I find something that I need and it is listed as available only to find out once I pm the member that it has been sold.
  10. I need something to help us with our budget. What have you had success with?
  11. I know this isn't the sale/swap board but I thought I would post this here to see if anyone would like to sell me their Abecedarian B materials. I need B1 and B2! Thanks!
  12. I did see that they were onsale on HSBC. However I wasn't crazy about any of the books on the issues that were offered.
  13. I just bought The Writer's Jungle a couple of weeks ago and so far I love it. I've only gotten through the first couple of passages. I plan to start implementing it this summer. I go back and forth on purchasing a subscription to the Arrow. It seems a little pricey for what you get. I think I could come up with my own copywork/dictation practices so I wouldn't really need it for that. I love the idea of teaching literature elements with copywork/dictation and I don't have a curriculum that covers that. It just seems like a high price to pay but I keep going back to it! AGH! There needs to be a *pulling hair out* smilie on here! I guees this will do :banghead: Ok, the title should read worth, not with! I need to go to bed.
  14. Yes, I'm asking if TT can be used with only the CD's. Is there a lot of writing involved?
  15. Math, just because the curriculum that I like is so expensive. If the curriculum that I really liked for reading, spelling, grammar, etc was as expensive as math I would buy it. To me it's not a matter of cost, unless I can't afford it ;), but a matter of is it going to work for me and my family. Sometimes the cheapest curriculum is what works out best in the end. It doesn't mean that because it has a cheap price tag that it's inferior to the million dollor ;) curriculums out there.
  16. I'm wanting to buy this used. I have only found just have the cd's. Is the workbook for grade 4 essential or would we be alright without it?
  17. Do you have any teacher's store close to you? Our local Lakeshore Learning Resources Store offers laminating for 0.29$ per linear foot for teachers. You might want to check in to that. I'm not sure if staples or other office supplies store might offer discounts for teachers. You might want to check around. HTH!
  18. I'm still trying to decide if I want to use TT or not. One determining factor is can one level be used with 2 students. I've kept my dd11 and ds10 in the same math level so I would only need one level. I don't want to have to buy two of the same level! Thanks!
  19. Are there separate HIG's for both the u.s. edition, and the standards edition? Or is there just on HIG for both?
  20. Forgot to mention, the math card games are for all the levels of RightStart Math, so there would be games that you other child could play as well!
