  1. I got an award badge for my DD's 4-H Facebook group for clicking in the most "likes" 2 weeks in a row. Does that count? I'd never heard of an award badge for a Facebook group before.
  2. I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing her story. What an amazing woman to have known.
  3. I love my Bosch with 3rd rack and 60-minute quick cycle. I third, fourth and fifth taking a plate, bowl and large cup with you while shopping to make sure they'll fit.
  4. I’d love to participate. This year is the first year I’ve been interested in setting goals in a long time.
  5. I am sorry. I wish it were different.
  6. Hugs. It's such a mess that I don't know how to pray but just wanted to let you know I'm praying.
  7. This is devastating!!!!!!!! Thank you for the heads up.
  8. I'm so sorry about your Dad. I hope they can figure out what will be best for him and for you.
  9. We've bought most of our Lego sets from Target/Walmart/Amazon and only a few from the Lego website. I bought a knock-off Death Star from AliExpress the year that was all my DD wanted for Christmas. It was cheap compared to the real thing and exceeded our expectations for being a knockoff. The sets are separated by child and are built by whose it is. Some Lego sets are built and stored in giant plastic tubs in the basement. The rest are mixed together and sorted by color. All of the instruction booklets are stored in plastic bins. My DD has a long wood tray with about a 4 inch lip around it that lives under her twin bed and holds most of the sets she currently has out and put together. She slides the tray out when she wants to play with Legos then slides it back under the bed when done. The wood tray was a hand-me-down from another Lego loving family.
  10. Thank you! I just looked at Lands End and they have several choices I think she'll like.
  11. I need help finding A line, knee length dresses for my 13yo DD. Where are they??? She likes them at least knee length and even a little longer. And she tends to like them in stretchy fabric. We've already looked at Target, Walmart, Belk, JC Penney, Kohl's and Old Navy. I'm taking her to Macy's and DIllard's today. It's not in style but she won't wear anything shorter than the knee and I am growing desperate to find anything for church and nicer events. Thank you!!
  12. This recipe is very similar to the tomato gravy I ate growing up except we used milk and not heavy cream. We would have definitely put it in a gravy boat for Thanksgiving. https://www.thekitchn.com/tomato-gravy-recipe-23390914
  13. Growing up in the South we had both tomato sauce which was served with pasta and tomato gravy which was served on rice. The tomato gravy was made with a roux and water (maybe even milk sometimes) and it was thick. They were 2 very different things. We never had tomato gravy at Thanksgiving but I imagine if we did, it would certainly have been served in the gravy boat.
  14. We love their smoked turkey!!!!!!!!!! I bought one of their pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving this year but we've never had it before so I can't say how it is.
  15. I keep a clipboard with list near my purse and my kids are good about adding items to it. My DH? He puts empty bottles near the clipboard. It's taken me years to get him to at least do that so I'll take it!
  16. We bought the TR7 2020 model and I love it. I bought it for 3 reasons: reliability, agitation and the ability to control the water level. I have eczema kids and have to use wimpy laundry soap and plenty of water to rinse. I have not noticed any difference in the ability to clean clothes with previous washing machines - top loading GE and Kenmore. There were 2 other top loaders I considered in 2020: the base model Speed Queen top loading agitator and the commercial Maytag top loader. In 2020, the base model Speed Queen top loader was a real honest to goodness old school agitator and had a deep water cycle that would have been just fine except my DH couldn't stand the idea of buying the base model.....he likes bells and whistles!!! (that I don't use....). The commercial Maytag top loader was recommended by our service tech as being reliable, agitator and deep water. I would have been happy with that one too. In the end, the salesperson at the appliance store showed my DH the difference in thickness of the metal parts in the Speed Queen and other brands and that was the end of the discussion. The TR7 2020 has worked out great for us.
  17. We bought a top loader Speed Queen in 2020 and absolutely love it. There were a couple of years prior to 2020 when they made changes and the reviews were bad and I waited until that mess was over before buying. I don't remember which years to avoid though.

Yikes. Yikes, yikes, yikes!!!! I'm glad you are safe.
  19. My best advice is just to look, look, look at RV shows and on RV lots and see what you like and don't like. And see if you can rent one for a weekend even if it's just to stay in locally to help you decide what your non-negotiables are. Then if you decide on a brand you like or a type you like, find an online forum where you can ask questions specific to that brand or type. RV people seem to really be nice about answering questions. That's all the advice I have for now because we are complete newbies with this. Newbie as in we bought an 18 year old Scamp trailer yesterday. It's in great shape for being 18 years old but has a little fixing up to make it how we want it. We've visited RV shows for fun for years and visited new and used lots. We were looking at Scamps online and I joined a Facebook group for Scamps but I had never seen one in real life until yesterday. So look and ask questions.
  20. Thank you!!! I've ordered the Key to Fractions 1-4 set and we'll give that a go. 🙂
  21. My 13DD is struggling with fractions in Pre-Algebra and I need to find a supplement to help. She is currently using Derek Owens Pre-Algebra and used CLE 1-6 before this. Typically math is no issue for her but fractions have always been a problem. I've bought several manipulatives over the years but they don't seem to help her understanding. Currently she is working with variables and solving for X. If there's a fraction, she can't figure out what to do. She's also struggling to remember how to determine which of 2 fractions with different denominators is larger or smaller. Should I look at Khan Academy? Would a Math Mammoth fraction worktext be good? What can I use to help her with understanding fractions? Other than fractions, my DD has no issues with DO Pre-Algebra. Thank you for any suggestions!
