  1. Thank you so much for putting this fabulous list together and sharing it here. You saved me a lot of work!
  2. My dd is currently plowing through the Pseudonymous Bosch series. She also enjoyed: The Candymakers, Wendy Mass The Evolution of Calpurnia Tate, Jacqueline Kelly (There is a sequel coming out July 7th!)
  3. My dd wanted to collect some tadpoles after she saw a small pond teeming with them. She researched what they needed to survive in captivity. We went back a few days later with a net and critter keeper. After forty-five minutes, we only had caught two. She was happy with that. We kept them for about three months. One died and the other we released back into the pond we caught it from. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
  4. For me it's mostly about time. I tend to be drawn to resources that are time intensive for setting up or because they teach the parent how to teach the subject to the child. That's why I wish I had more time in the day to be able to use BFSU, The Writer's Jungle, JUMP Math, and BookShark's Eastern Hemisphere. As if I don't have enough Resources to juggle, I just received the GEMS unit Life through Time. It looks amazing- better than I thought it would be. However, the set up requires quite a few resources and time to put them all together. I may end up saving it for next year. I also wish I had more time to play with math outside of our curriculum. My dd would love more math games, puzzles, tricks, activities, stories, etc.
  5. Hello. After taking a year off last year from homeschooling, I am excited to have my daughter back home. She would have been in 6th grade this year had she stayed in public school. I also have a son who returned to public school last year for 8th grade. He just began high school this fall and is really enjoying it. This will be our fourth year homeschooling. I am looking forward to participating here and connecting with other homeschoolers!
