  1. Tags used to be very helpful in searching.
  2. We didn't give ds the numbers. We did talk about standard deviations though. As long as you're aware of your concerns, I think you'll handle it fine. And the number is just a number. It's what the kids DO that matters more. I try to stress effort more than ability.
  3. Appraisers here look less at clutter and more at house structure....staging would be needed to sell, but it doesn't affect appraisal from what I've been told and from my experience when we've refinanced. Hope it goes well for you!

    Allergy Help

Agreeing with FARE for resources. It's really scary at first, but in time, you'll adjust. Allergies can begin at any time in life, so having no issues with fish in the past doesn't mean that that wasn't the cause. .
  5. For me, the IQ report was helpful. The numbers were less useful, but the report talked about how he'd answered some questions and how he was thinking. I hope you'll find some use from your son's report.
  6. But it did end in 1982... Except for the Lego games which were fun. I'm unaware of anything since then....
  7. Dh is severely allergic to cats. We had cats for about 12 years together. He has asthma and he could get by. Then we went for a time without cats and then tried to get another cat. His reaction was so severe that I returned the cat and we won't have them in the future. My experience is that he did get used to the dander, but we also just got used to him having decreased lung function and more asthma flare ups. I do sympathize. We'd love to have a cat again, but seeing the difference without a cat, I prefer dh's health. He'd be willing to try allergy shots to have a cat...so that may be the way to go if you do decide to keep the kitten. And change air filters regularly and use heavy duty ones.
  8. And interact math http://interactmath.com/home.aspx It doesn't save any of your work, but the Help Me Solve it feature is good. I teach from the Woodbury elementary and intermediate algebra text and like it a lot.
  9. Glad you're back! Rest up!
  10. You were faster than me with posting! Can't you just HEAR it?
  11. I always think of South Park: The Movie with this. After the apocalypse, in hell, someone asks who had the right religion. The response is, "I'm sorry. It was the Mormons. The Mormons were correct." And then there's a cut to heaven. :) Need to watch that again....
  12. Then just lots of :grouphug:
  13. I have filters set up on my email to automatically delete anything that comes in from my uncle. Is there a reason you need to engage with this person? If I needed to, I'd probably send emails to dh who'd let me know anything I needed to know from the emails. :grouphug: I'm sorry.
  14. I feel sad that you're as ignorant as you are and have such a lack of reading comprehension. It is precisely comments like yours that aid me in stating clearly that if you are an illustration of what a Christian is...I want NOTHING to do with it. Another PK here. My folks are both ministers. They do "walk the walk" and I have respect for their faith even if I think it is misguided. I see crap like Luanne is spewing as a reason that Christianity is harmful.
  15. We have a medicine bag for ds. It has Benadryl tablets, albuterol, and the epis. It's best to have two in case one doesn't deploy or if it takes the ambulance longer to get to you. We have one specific location in the house where the bag stays. When boy leaves the house, the bag travels with him. When ds was in half day kindergarten, we had two epis at home and he had two in the classroom.
  16. You could also ask instructors at the cc to be references to the university.

  18. I'm sorry for your loss. I edited my post.
  19. I've got CeraVe - broad spectrum SPF 50 with zinc. I get white streaks all over but I haven't burned with it. I'll use Neutrogena SPF 70 Broad Spectrum liquid on my face and hands often since it feels less greasy. It's the "bad" kind though with the chemicals. I take Vit D daily, but I've reached the point due to earlier sun damage that I get a rash if I'm out in the sun for too long (too long varies with time of day but can be as little as 15 min). Whether you use sunscreen or not, know the ABCDs of melanoma... look for Asymmetry of moles Border (uneven can be a concern) Color (multiple colors can be a concern in one mole) Diameter (over 6 mm, keep an eye on). Any mole or spot that looks different from others around it should be checked. Dark moles on palms of hands or soles of feet are a primary concern. A friend's wife died from melanoma on her foot. She was black, so a "base tan" sure wouldn't have made a difference. If a mole starts bleeding, get to the dermatologist ASAP. Melanoma is one of the easiest cancers to treat... IF it's caught early. (Disagreed with below...I may be incorrect.) If not, it's nasty.
  20. When I did the research, zinc may be safest for kids in particular. I'll wear the nasty stuff since I've already had precancerous moles removed.
