  1. Thanks for the replies, good to hear some perspectives and different experiences. We have an OT, although I’m not sure she does retained reflexes stuff with my son. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have been talking to a friend who’s son, with ADHD did neurfeedback and they had great results. He is now totally off his meds and has been off of them for a year and is doing great. I am beyond thinking there is a magic pill or whatever but I’m curious to hear anyone else’s stories. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I do not recommend an LG. The only reason we got it was because it fit in the space that we had and I have been very disappointed. The freezer door will come open. Shelves have broken. I am dreaming of redoing my kitchen so I can get a new fridge. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. We use right start and Iï¸ love it. Iï¸ also have a child that Iï¸ would have to sit next to no matter what math we were doing, and after trying a couple of other curriculums we have stuck with RS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Oh I’m so sorry. What a pain. If you want to try something for the next wallet, Iï¸ got a tile and it works great. Iï¸ left my wallet at target and the next day Iï¸ realized it was gone Iï¸ had no idea where Iï¸ had left it. Iï¸ checked the tile app on my phone and it told me where Iï¸ had had it last and then when Iï¸ went into target Iï¸ had it start ringing and it was right in the customer service drawer. Obviously it won’t stop theft but if it is just forgetting or losing, it worked great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We keep it around 60 day and night during the winter. At long as Iï¸ am moving around I’m comfortable. Iï¸ do wear a hat often and wool sweaters and long underwear under my pant but Iï¸ would need that when Iï¸ went out anyway so Iï¸ might as well just put it on in the morning. When I have to sit for a while Iï¸ drink tea to stay warm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Eveyone who has gotten sick so far was over 50. I’m sure what ever you child has is more than likely just a regular virus. I would not be worried. Think of how many people have gotten ill. It’s only a handful, think of how many people have been to disney or are in Anaheim. The chances are minuscule. But I am sorry your kid is sick and I’m sorry you are worried about it. Hope your child feels better soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You might want to look into Collaborative problem solving. Look up the think kids website. The idea is that kids do well if they can and if they are not doing well then something is getting in their way. It may sound touchy feely but there are some kids that you can’t discipline/punish/ reward into good behavior and CPS is evidence based and can be used regardless of diagnosis. 10. I check it out from my library on CDs, so they do exist. Not sure where to get them but you could check your library Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So we did foundations d after C and then moved on to essentials. Although my child could read pretty well after C, I like the spelling and reinforcement in D. The readers were on the easy side for him at that point but he liked them. Then we did move on to LOE essentials and I’m not sure how I feel about it. We are about halfway through the book and I have used it quite differently than recommend. There are three spelling levels in each lesson and the idea is to work through either the A, B, or C list depending on your child’s level. Well my child is at a lot higher lever in reading then he is in spelling or writing so I work through the A, B, and C list in each lesson. The A and B sections are mostly review and reinforcement. The C list in new and harder stuff but works well as a challenge. I’m not sure I recommend this method. But it has worked for us and I plan to finish the LOE essentials vol 1 like that. I’m not sure what I will do after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This is not a grey area. Those examples were not subtle. I appreciate the effort I suppose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I brainstorm with my kids and will edit for my kids. I will write ideas down that they have to help them get something on the paper and sit beside them because I think that seems to help a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So I realize that this is not what you are talking about (I read the link and I have heard and seen this) but my daughter found a beautiful blue pumpkin at the pumpkins patch and ran quite a ways to claim it. It is one of a kind. I guess it happens every once in a while but there were no others in the patch. Also, although I don’t have a teal pumpkin sign I do have small toys as an alternative to candy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I have been doing Writing With Ease 1 with my son and he is doing fine with it. But we skip the copywork part of WWE1 because I have other copywork I would rather him do. So I’m guess I’m just wondering how different WWE 2 is from WWE1 and if skipping the copywork sections would be an issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I always feel like throwing up warrants skipping but my son will sometime drink water too fast and then throw up in the morning and then be totally fine for the rest of the day. But I end up skipping things just to be safe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I like party in my pants. They are really thin and absorbent and the patterns are cute. I have used a diva cup too but it has not fit the same after my vaginal delivery. I need to try some other cups but I am not sure I want to buy a bunch of different ones to figure out which one fits. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Anyone try this with anxious kids? Gozen.com Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. This is a bummer. I just have family parties because I don't want to deal with the gift thing. But maybe for parents who get gifts they don't want they could talk to the child before hand and have a plan to donate the gifts to a children's hospital or something if people do bring gifts. 21. I wouldn't worry about washing it so often. Once a week is plenty. I mean how dirty is her hair really? :). A bob would be cute and easy and then do a spray in deranged to comb it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Is there some event the grandparents could take the kids too. Like a polar express train ride or a tickets to a play or ballet? That's what we do in our family so the kids don't end up with a bunch of crap. Or a membership to a science or children's museum. These are some things we have done. 23. I always use full fat plain yogurt because the more fat it has the less sugar it has and the better it tastes. But I have no problem finding plain full fat yogurt, where I am. Glad you found something you like. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Family such as grandparents or cousins only. No friend sleepovers before high school. Honestly, I would wonder about anyone who would want my children spending the night at their house and I have very little interest in other people's children spending the night at mine unless they are nieces or nephews.
