  1. Day 23/80: cardio core. I had to really push myself today, as I was feeling tired, a little sore, and very unmotivated
  2. Day 22/80: booty. It's been lightly snowing all morning, here's hoping it keeps it up so I can start snowshoeing soon!
  3. Day 21/80: total body core this morning. Walked with the dogs this afternoon. Still had energy to burn this evening so I did PiYo Sweat. I don't normally do 2 workouts in one day, but I feel like I need a little something extra right now. I don't have much farm work to do right now, it's too icy to run, and not snowy enough for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. I wish it'd hurry up and snow some more! @wintermom maybe I should get some skates?! I see lots of used ones for sale on our local facebook groups. The tiny town nearest us just got the outdoor rink going for the winter. I've never skated in my life though (not a native Canadian ) so I'm a little nervous about hurting myself.
  4. Day 19/80: legs. Going to take the dogs for a walk in a bit.
  5. Day 18/20: AAA. Hopefully we'll be getting some more snow this weekend. Rainy/icy weather is more typical of November here, not December.
  6. I'm jealous of your snow! We had rain yesterday and last night :( Winter is kind of late coming in BC this year.
  7. Day 16/80 yesterday, booty, and Day 17 today, cardio core. Walk with the dogs later.
  8. @Dreamergal, we have blindingly brilliant sunshine up here in BC today too. Bit of a temperature difference though, it's 28 degrees F right now ;) I took a nice walk with the dogs and soaked up all the sunshine. I'm rather impatiently waiting for more snow so I can snowshoe and cross-country ski.
  9. Congrats @wintermom! Day 12/80: leg day, one of my favorites. Pushed hard with the weights again today and it feels really good. I told my husband I really need him to buy me some heavier weights for Christmas!
  10. So my goals for this month were continuing 80 day obsession, daily walks, and watching what I eat...1 out of 3 ain't bad, right? I did get my workout in, day 11/80, but I also helped my husband with some cows and then took my daughter shopping in town. So I didn't get a walk with the dogs, but I guess I got some walking in shopping. My food was definitely NOT on point today, I've eaten leftover potato, dumpling, and ham soup from last night, and a bunch of pizza. Tomorrow is another day.
  11. Day 9/80: booty, plus some serious hiking through the forest to lay out a boundary line with GPS for a new pasture. My goals for this month are to (1) continue with my 80 day obsession workouts, (2) daily walks/hikes, and (3) keep working on better tracking of my food intake and not overdo it on Christmas cookies! As others have mentioned upthread, I want to make this a special Christmas season for my kids, even though so many things have been cancelled. We live on the side of a mountain, my kids are homeschooled, and the one away from home activity they usually do, 4-H, has again been cancelled til further notice due to Covid restrictions. All the Christmas parades and the Christmas train have been cancelled. My oldest is really feeling the isolation this year. So of course we will be making ALL the Christmas cookies and sweets, having popcorn and hot cocoa while watching Christmas movies, and having a gingerbread house building competition. I'm going to have to step up my level of self control
  12. Took a nice hilly walk with the dogs this morning, and then did day 8/80: total body core. I'm feeling a lot stronger, I've been able to do moves that I've had to modify in the past.
  13. Day 6/80: cardio flow I'm hosting a Thanksgiving dinner this evening. I baked the rolls yesterday and made a broccoli apple salad, and the last of the pies is in the oven now. It's noon here now, and dinner isn't until 6:30, so I've got awhile before I have to start the turkey and the ham.
  14. Thanks for mentioning spike ball, I'd never heard of it. A while after reading this someone posted a new spikeball pro set on our local facebook sale page for 30 bucks cheaper than new, and I picked it up today. It looks fun! They also sell glow-in-the-dark balls for it on Amazon, so I ordered some of those as well. If you don't already have the glow-in-the-dark balls, they'd make a good stocking stuffer!
  15. Beautiful pictures @wintermom! @Ali in OR mashed potatoes and rolls are my weakness at Thanksgiving, as well as pie. My favorites that I make are a chocolate pumpkin pie and pecan pie. Day 3/80 day obsession, cardio core. I was able to correctly do some core moves that in the past I had to modify (bottom leg swing-through and side plank knee pull), so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself right now!
  16. Two of our dogs are obsessed with laying on my yoga mat when I'm working out. Actually I kind of love to hate 80 DO. It's hard, and the workouts are long. The first two times I tried it I didn't make it all the way through the program, but now I've completed it twice. What I love is the results I get with the program. It's a full body program but with special attention for the abs and butt. I've seen a lot of progress in those areas, and I'd like to tighten them up a bit more. Plus this time of year I don't have a lot going on outside...garden is buried in snow, there's no irrigating to do, the calves are weaned and shipped...so I end up feeling like a I need more of a workout inside. I'm looking forward to more snow so that I can dust off the snowshoes. I also managed to find used cross country skis and boots for me and both kids, so we'll hopefully be doing plenty of that this winter :)
  17. I did part of MBF day 13, but I've been feeling like it's not challenging enough compared to what I've gotten used to doing. So I restarted 80 day obsession, because apparently I'm a crazy person! So 80 DO day 1, total body core. @wintermom I have the opposite problem, all 3 of our dogs LOVE snow and water and mud. They walk through the creek and every bit of standing water they can find, romp in mudholes, and absolutely go nuts in the snow. I have to scrub off their feet and legs and bellies every time they come back in the house, especially the bellies of the corgi and the corgi cross. The blue heeler's belly doesn't get too bad except when the snow is deep and soft.
  18. MBF day 11, core circuit. The sun is shining, so I'm definitely going to squeeze in a long walk with the dogs, even though I have a house to clean and a cherry pie to bake. Today is our boss/neighbor's birthday, and tomorrow is my daughter's 18th birthday, so we're having a little get together tonight to have desserts and play a boardgame. I can't believe my little girl is going to be 18!!! (Before anyone gets upset that we're having a gathering in the time of Covid, we all live on the same ranch and work together all the time, so we're basically one bubble)
