Yes, I've heard there are plenty of activities in the more urban areas. Where we lived in Nebraska was very rural but there were quite a few homeschoolers. There don't seem to be very many in our valley here, and they are mostly little kids, mine are 18 and 14.

Day 77/80: Leg day. Almost done! I gave up Facebook and Instagram for Lent, and will probably post a lot less on here as well. I may just do a weekly check-in for now. Last time I tried skiing the snow was so dry and powdery that it did not go well. We're supposed to get more snow later this week, so hopefully that will improve our skiing conditions! So glad your kids get to have activities. We don't have any homeschool activities in our area. That's one of the few things I miss from living in Nebraska, we had a homeschool co-op, homeschool teen sports nights, soccer, and a very active and vibrant 4-H community. The only activity my kids have since we've moved to Canada is 4-H, and we have to drive nearly 3 hours one way to go to the 4-H activities. Since Covid started BC 4-H has cancelled pretty much every activity

Wasko Lit/Write at Home Registration?
FarmingMomma replied to FarmingMomma's topic in High School and Self-Education Board
Thanks. I heard back and their registration opens March 1. -
Rest day here...did a short walk with my son and the dogs (would of walked longer, but the wind was dang cold), and day 18 of Yoga with Adriene.
-
You should definitely try cross-country skiing! I went downhill skiing as a teenager and it was horrible and terrifying But since we've moved to Canada I've taken up cross-country skiing and I love it!

@Laura Corin I generally wear a thin snug pair of socks with a heavier wool or wool blend pair over the top.

Day 74/80 done, only one week of 80 Day obsession to go! Earlier I took a nice long walk with the dogs, and even ran in the places it wasn't icy. Will try to get some yoga in tonight, I haven't been getting it in lately. ETA: Did day 17 of Yoga with Adriene

Day 73/80: cardio core. It's been pretty stinkin cold here, so my outdoor activities have just been necessary ones like feeding cows. I am hoping to get a good long walk with the dogs in tomorrow.

I've been having some knee pain the last couple days. I made it through day 71/80, leg day, yesterday, but today I decided I'd better take it easy on myself. So instead of day 72, total body core, I did 21 day fix pilates instead. Still got a good workout (especially my core), but didn't further irritate my knee.

Day 69/80: arms, abs, and a**

Did some cross-country skiing, but the snow conditions weren't very good, so I didn't ski for very long. Also took a short walk with the dogs. I'm also planning to squeeze in some yoga later.
-
Took a second walk with the dogs, this one a little shorter, maybe a bit over a mile, but steeper terrain. Did day 15 of the Breath Yoga w/Adriene, and I might do another later this evening. Partly because all the stretching feels good, and partly just to distract myself from eating more of the homemade doughnuts I made earlier Tomorrow I hope to get some cross-country skiing in, and my son would like us to go snowshoeing.

Day 68/80, booty day. Then walked 1.5 miles with the dogs. @wintermom, good luck with your competition! @Soror sorry you aren't feeling well @Ali in OR good job on the yoga, I've been inconsistent with it and have only completed through day 14 so far

Day 67/80: cardio core. My abs were still a bit sore from yesterday's workout, so now I am definitely feeling them!
-
Lovely picture @wintermom Day 66/80: total body core. The epsom salt bath last night must have done the trick, I was only a little sore when I woke up this morning, and once I got warmed up my workout went fine. I'm not sure what outdoor shenanigans I'll get up to today, I think the snow is still too soft for skiing after the rain and warmer temps we had for a couple of days. I might just do a long walk with the dogs.

Day 65/80, leg day. Then, as if my legs weren't already tired, I had to chase a heifer through snow that was deeper than my knees. When that didn't work, I went and haltered my milk cow, walked her all the way out to where the uncooperative heifer was, and got her to follow my milk cow home. According to my fitbit I've logged 5.5 miles and 111 minutes of cardio heartrate, and only about 30 minutes of that was from my actual workout Definitely planning some yoga/stretching and foam rolling this evening. ETA: Did day 14 of Yoga with Adriene and a bit of foam rolling. Almost skipped to the next day of yoga since this one was longer, but I'm glad I didn't because it stretched out my legs and back wonderfully. Now I'm going to go take a nice epsom salt bath.

Day 63 of 80 day obsession: arms, abs, and a**. My goals for this month are to finish 80 day obsession, then start 9 week Control Freak, keep trying to fit in some yoga before bed, and get plenty of time outdoors walking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Once calving season starts in mid-March, I won't have much time or energy for snowshoeing and skiing and such, so I want to get plenty of it in now

Day 62/80: booty day. Hope everything is ok @Soror

Day 61/80, cardio core. I'm hoping to get some cross-country skiing in today, although my trail is sure to be filled in since it's been snowing, I'll probably have to re-break my trail
