  1. My 17 year old has had a job since he was 8 (chicken/egg business). When he was small we would take the profits and split it 60/40. 60% to his bank account and 40%spending. As he's had more demanding and higher paying jobs, we still handle it that way, but he has a checking acct and a ATM card to access whatever $ he needs. He makes really good $$
  2. When I was overdue with my first son (2 weeks and 2 days!), I went in to a baby boutique to pass the time - I think at that point I was a full two weeks overdue. Anyway, I mentioned it to the cashier as I was checking out and she said, reallly?? You're pregnant??? I just thought you were fat!! Unbelievable!
  3. Just finished these shows recently and am shopping for a series on Netflix. Thanks!
  4. Wolky Jewel. They're amazing. Expensive but can find on eBay cheaper
  5. If you're anywhere near Ohio, my sister is selling purebred nubians. 2 m a m a c h e w @gmail.com Remove spaces
  6. I'm a product of a large age gap. My closest sister is 14 years older. The biggest problem with the gap is how old my parents always were. They were too old to do fun things. I Think that's more important to keep in mind than the sibling relationships.
  7. Ecco Yucatán sandals and Wolky Jewel sandals. Amazing comfort. The Wolkys are cute enough for skirts.
  8. Google foam rolling of the hip flexors. Changed my life!
  9. Seriously look at Ceylon cinnamon!!
  10. I would like to give props to my favorite show ever...."Hell on Wheels." The main charachter is so dreamy...sigh... it's the story of the westward expansion of the railroad. It's an awesome story line! 5 seasons! It can be gory though.
  11. I find Ceylon cinnamon capsules remove my sweet cravings. Read the reviews on Amazon. I've been pleased.
  12. I'm so bummed. I loved the original. So excited for the reboot. I'm really disappointed in Rory!! Crazy that she's supposed to be 31 in the story line?
  13. There are always two sides to every story. I believe the public does not know all there is to know. Unfortunately, it is all a court of public opinion and that doesn't always equal fact.
  14. Happy - it is a regular occurrence for crews to be deadheading. It could have been the crew for that next flight. Think 2 pilots and 2 flight attendants or any other mix of crew for that next flight or even crew for more than one flight.
  15. Yes, Happy, but since the crew was traveling together, I would assume that they were not deadheading to a destination to commute to work, but to actually see to an already in progress flight that needed a crew due to cancellation of its previous crew. My husband used to commute to his work, but he wouldn't do so with his flight crew - commuters can live anywhere, so the likelihood that all 4 crewmembers just happened to all book last minute to commute to a job is unlikely. The crew would not be put in the jump seat to go to work on that flight, I believe, due to work rules. There are certain rules in place by the union to ensure crew rest even in the case of needing to be deadheaded to a location to carry on the next flight.
  16. I don't know how to link an article on Facebook, but if you have more questions about the flight crew "deadheading" to their job, please search this article on FB " I know you're mad at United (thoughts from a Pilot wife about flight 3411" This is a great article about the airlines and explaining the position the flight crew is in. I am married to an airline pilot - this was not the flight crew's fault. They are going to their job. They can't simply "drive to the other airport." There Obviously was a reason that crew needed to make it to that destination. - such as the original flight crew being over on hours by a delay or a host of other reasons. Also, tickets are definitely a contract. And in that contract is the ability of airlines to pull that ticket if needed. Please read the article.
  17. Panasonic. One with metal internal components
  18. Perhaps it hits the older people harder? Because my boys were 20 and 17 and they had it badly
  19. My college aged son infected my high school son at a week in. Their skin on their hands and feet all peeled off and they lost finger and toe nails. Just an FYI.
  20. Another satisfied standard poodle owner
  21. How about some jeggings from Old Navy? I absolutely love mine and they look nice despite my need to lose approx 30 pounds. Go with a dark pair for the best concealment.
  22. Can you give an example of what the 1/2 hour looks like?
  23. Ok and it's a shitzhu - not a huge groom like my standard poodle. Tiny dog. I guess I'd be shocked, too!
